"In death, sacrifice." - The return of Duncan!

And nobody finds it suspicious that of the only two surviving wardens in fereldan, one is the king bastard half brother? With cailen dying childless, it leaves alistair claim to the throne the strongest... It's very common in medevil society that if the king die childless the throne goes to the next in line even if the queen yet lives. Royalty is hereditary (mostly), not something you sign away in a prenup.

That being said, I'm pretty much on the side of let the dead stay dead. Wynne coming back makes sense with her storyline. And Leliana makes sense if you think of where you kill her. Anders' death was only a rumour in the epilogue.
But all other deaths wouldn't make sense if they're retconned.

It's rather silly that I have to keep repeating this, but:
Duncan is dead. He will not be coming back. Ever.
So what you're saying is Duncan is alive in Orlais running A brothel? Can't wait to see him in Dragon Age 3.

It's true! Mark it down as a dev promise! They promised us Duncan! Gaider felt the need to clarify to the fans about Duncan's fate, which means Word of God just confirmed his death in Origins was ambiguous... Or at least the topic came up in one of his posts (which is close enough.)
It's up to us to hold Bioware to their promises and blatant foreshadowing, folks! Duncan for DA3!

I'd rather bring back Arl Howe, if only to have Tim Curry on the cast.
He died, and thus is dead. I don't want any more resurrection.
Yeah, Duncan went out in a blaze of glory a fitting death for a Grey Warden.

Aye Anders was explained away (I didn't like it, but it worked to a degree - solely because you never actually saw him die).
But Leliana.. now that's just a major case of a-wizard-did-it.The Hierophant wrote...
Sprinkle in a little Flemeth(sounds nasty), and anything is possible.[smilie]http://social.bioware.com/images/forum/emoticons/sideways.png[/smilie]
I wouldn't mind chowing down on Flemeth.
I mean exactly what I said.
i would not mind having a romance with her (in her DA2-Form - and no, i am not speaking of her dragon-form) or working with her (she is firstly an interesting character and secondly she knows things that other people don't (magical knowledge, imortality stuff etc.) and thirdly she is not partial to the chantry (not that she actively fights it as far as i know))
as for duncan:
bring him back so i can kill him - again!
i am still pissed that he forced my characters into the grey wardens (after my first play through i always refused him, because of the warden-draw-backs...hell my mage wardens would probably have turned him to stone the second they were far from the tower and he turned his back - and then they would have run to tevinter - blight be damed and all, even more so as i think that my mage does not owe Ferelden anything, after all they imprisoned him/her without - IMHO - proper cause (being born is NOT proper cause!)...i asume that mages know about the taint in the wardens (with their impressive library there should be hints...even more so as mages are needed for the ritual (the joining!))
greetings LAX
ps: in a way i hate duncan (sometimes i even hate bioware that they did not give us the choice to avoid being wardens and playing the game as an outsider helping alistair (the last free warden))

Anders we don't see die onscreen in Awakening. He can be taken away by Templars, but c'mon, the man's an escape artist!
As for Leliana, she is a rogue and a very skilled one who can likely feign death if necessary.

Damn right. Gaider said it himself. Duncan's death is ambiguous but we all know he survived and is now running a brothel in Orlais.

Damn. This picture is so dramatic.
People should think before they wish for something. Dead Duncan - Hero. If Duncan is alive in DA:I - some hairless ghoul or something (for 8-10 years at least).

You do know who you are talking to, don't you? This is the Lead Writer of the Dragon Age series. If he says a storyline isn't going to happen... it ain't gonna happen.
