I've finally had enough, no more unknown/unknown games for me, and no platinum either. It's just ridiculous.

- You can't flank them because they'll shoot you as soon as YOU see them. Rocket troopers will shoot at you and then turn around. Just ridiculous. And I swear sometimes they fire before I can even see them. I've just made visual contact and yet two rockets/prime shots have already hit me. You can't even nuke spawns sometimes because you'll be dead before you can even fire your rocket launcher, which should be instantaneous.

- Ridiculous stunlock, which is somehow even worse on a Krogan/Batarian, even though they're supposed to be the most physically gifted characters in the game. Sometimes, as soon as the wave starts, two primes start shooting at you from way across the map and you're dead, you didn't even have a chance to do anything. WTF ?

- Rocket Troopers can somehow fire two/three rockets at once. They can also shoot while stasised / staggered / in a singularity. I once got killed by a Rocket Trooper that was fifteen feet in the air after a smash or lash, can't remember. Same thing with Hunters.

- Actually, no. Hunters are even worse. At least the Rocket Troopers aren't incredibly buggy.

- Geth Primes can pull turrets out of their asses. Because of the brilliant shield gate mechanism, geth turrets are the deadliest units in the game. Way more dangerous than a big ass Atlas, that makes a lot of sense. As if it wasn't bad enough, Primes can put them in impossible spots, and dealing with them is frustrating because another one will spawn one second later. And they have two of them ...

- Primes can shoot with perfect accuracy no matter where they are. They can be 100m away from you and you think you're safe, but they'll shoot you even though they would have hit a wall if they aimed a quarter of an inch left or right.

- Can someone tell me why Pyros can roll ? I wouldn't try that if I were them, you know, with that big fuel tank of theirs on their backs. Turians can't roll but Pyros can ? That makes sense. And of course they've got insane range on their flamethrowers, way more than the animation would suggest.

Everything they do is just cheap. I don't know how anyone can have fun when there's at least one geth on the map. It's too bad because I actually like platinum, even though the way it was designed was incredibly lazy of Bioware. It can be fun though, but then geth come in and take all the fun away.

What makes it worse is that against Reapers/Cerberus, you're rewarded for moving smartly around the map, flanking them, all that good stuff. But it's impossible against Geth because of their cheapness. The only way to play them safely is to stay behind cover and try not to fall asleep.

I hope Geth will be fixed, or at least have the option to have a Platinum game without Geth, but until then, no more unknown/unknown and platinum games for me, unless there's an interesting challenge or something. I've had enough. I play this game to have fun, and it's impossible to have fun against those cheap bastards.

I see where you're coming from ... if I end up in a gold Geth lobby I tend to think, "Oh well, KroGuard/Reegar it is then"...

Not to be a smartass, but they can't :P
They actually do a sidehop and not a roll.

I couldn't agree more.

The only time I play U/U anymore is when a friend begs for it, otherwise I just set it to Reapers.

I no longer use quickmatch for the same reason. I'd rather start my own lobby.

The only thing that I don't like about geth is the perfect accuracy of primes.

I agree man. I don't play Geth anymore because of it.

Especially wave 10 on gold? 3 Geth Primes? Every other faction has 2 boss units at a time.

The rocket troopers and prime turrets are the worst.

I only play Cerberus or Reapers on Gold/Platinum. Until Geth are fixed that is.

I've always wondered, is the Geth stunlock a glitch or intentional?

Yes, they are cheap, and I share your frustration. It's amazing that you can get shot by rockets through walls, stunlocked by Hunters you are stunlocking yourself, get shot from all angles by two turrets from the same prime in a different location, sniped by a prime through an opening about 2 cm wide from across the map, burnt by pyros over cover from incredibly far away, etc etc.

I guess this is all Geth payback for being unable to counter a counter.

I'm sure you're just venting. It's more interesting to play UUG. I just wish it randomized play more, rather than giving you the same two factions and same 3 or 4 maps over and over. Not sure if everyone has had this issue, but I definitely have.

Yes, and I don't like U/U/G for this reason -  I prefer U/C/G or U/R/G.   Outside of fbw the geth are a horror.

They are just not enjoyable to play against.  It was a very detailed post and I really agree with most of what he said.   The bit about the primes one-shotting you from across the map at the start of a wave really pisses me off, wtf:crying:

I played a silver/geth/Giant match with my friend, and you know that overpass ahead that enemies spawn and drop down from? Right when the announcer says, "Bogeys incoming," I see a rocket come straight down from there to my buddy standing directly underneath, and it made a slight 'J' trajectory so that it would hit him in the back. Best part was that the rocket trooper wasn't even visible yet. It was the most hilarious thing I've seen in MP.

Pretty sure Geth defy a majority of physic laws with half of their actions....they are nigh unbearable to play against.

... actually, thinking about it, I did have one nice game against Geth not too long ago.

U/U/G PuG turned out to be Geth/Dagger - me as a QME, some guy as a KroGuard and some other guy (can't remember what he was playing - not that it mattered)... we started the game with 3 people hoping a 4th would get dropped in.

Didn't happen, the forgettable guy quit on wave 2 leaving me and the KroGaurd to fight our way through 9 waves to extraction - that was actually quite good fun but then we did have arguably 2 of the best anti-Geth classes going.

Geth on Goddess or Hydra however really, really sucks.

Using disruptor ammo on them helps a lot. It stuns all the units except the prime. But yeah, they are cheap as hell.

I believe that if Bioware threw out all the fbwgg matches that they have data that would say you are wrong ( assuming talking about Gold level ).

I have played a lot of matches and nobody I've played with has ever preferred playing vs Geth ( other than fbw ).

Only if you camp out behind desks in a super easy map like White.

On other maps they're just as difficult as the other factions, just infinitely more annoying. I hate playing them, they're not fun at all.
