If an exploit is the key to facing a faction I would suggest that supports there being a problem with the faction.
Exploit my a**. I do it on every single map, with friends and with randoms. Come and watch me do it and be smart afterwards.
The geth require a different attitude than the rest. They are more tedious than the other factions, but that is because you need to constantly pay attention to what goes on everywhere. One mistake and it will almost certainly cost you at least a survival pack.
1. You seriously have to be watching out for hunters all the time. They are the priority targets.
2. Second is rocket troopers
3. Then pyros who are slow as hell and can (should) be taken out froma a distance.
4. Keeping distance when facing the geth is paramount. If they geth close to you, you are screwed. I would be as well, but I don't let them close.
5. Turrets always appear in the same few spots on the map. There is no variation. ALWAYS IN THE SAME FEW SPOTS. One single shot is enough to get rid of them. When they appear, the become the priority targets over anything else. Move away from their line of fire asap so to be able to concentrate on what is coming at you.
6. Engage primes from behind cover (obstacles, counters, corners, whatever you can hide behind) exclusively. Not doing so gets you downed.
7. Point one, so on and so forth until extraction
Many people complaining about the geth are much better at this game then I am... I seriously don't get this entire issue...
"They are a horrible enemy..." Isn't that ffs the WHOLE POINT IN AN ENEMY?
