yes

OP, you are on PC. You have no excuse on being stunlocked, and everything else you described is either rare or easily avoided on any platform.

They buffed geth to insane levels because of farming, now farming is the only way to play them.
Congrats bioware.

Geth/Gold is only fun with a vanguard+Reegar (the cheap Geth really deserve to be mercilessly 'reegared') otherwise you are restricted to a camping/farming play style... I do not know which one I hate more Pyro/Hunter/Rocket Trooper/Prime or Geth Turret... I think the Pyro because getting downed by a Pyro costs 2 medigel or 1 medigel + ops pack.

For some reason no one can answer a straight question. That's because you probably can't

You asked "what's wrong here?"

I've answered : "The whole comment" ...as in the words you've typed out and posted here on this thread.  Homey C-Dawg responded with even more clarity and you still didn't get it apparently.

I recently played a U/U/G against Geth as an N7 Slayer. Decided to charge a lone Rocket Trooper. It elbowed me when I impacted it, completely ignoring the force of the charge before stepping back and letting loose three rockets point blank. I died immediately.

Why do you have 255 for almost all level I equipment? Do you cheat?

*facepalm*

The point is not handling Geth. I think we are all capable of that. As others have said, certain characters (FQI, Krogaurd) make the Geth easy, as does farming.

Point is, a regular match against them is incredibly frustrating and not in any way fun. They are just cheap, cheap. You can fight them and win, but you don't enjoy it at all.

I chuckle because I've done that many a time with both my Slayer and my Ceberus Vanguard. I've found the best time to use BC against Geth is never because they are able to negate the invulnerability frames

Most of the time UUG matches that fail with strong teams is against the cheap geth. I rarely play them above silver since camping is the best way to beat them and I hate camping. Now that I am sick of Cerberus after this weekend op I hear reapers in gold calling me.

Because a friend of a friend seemed to be directly opposed to happiness, me and a group did an U/U/P game with all Krogan. The Vanguard plus the Particle Rifle and Harrier were also banned in this situation as we had turned to the demented ramblings of a mad man in order to spice up the game. We got Geth... On London, and my God was it painful.

Dispite being fortunate enough to score the wave 10 cash, being hit one time from anywhere on the map was a death sentence. Two hits, one giant stunlock. Much like the infamous ladies and their cup, this was disgusting. There was absolutely nothing we could do once hit but call it out for a speedy revive.

It was truly ridiculous. The mightiest race is not Platinum ready, subsequently this includes the race with the greatest military and the one that can't get any uglier. This is simply due to the Geth/stunlocking mechanic that they brandish without restraint.

Like all aimbots, the Geth ruin the game.

No.. I tried to max out equipment in an attempt to max out my weapons. It doesn't work, so don't do it.

Primes are Completely Unbalanced.
Now we have 3 of them. You get wrong Escort & Hack mission with perfectly placed 3 Primes in wave 10, you are in for a xxxxed up game.

Unless.. of course.. one of your teammate is mighty Kroguard.

I like how using any squishy classes against geth means that the instant you're in range of a turret or a pyro, you're just dead. Doesn't matter if you take cover, dodge, attack, whatever. you're just dead.

And well. Geth hunters. Geth freaking Hunters.

What's really dumb is, the top classes still dominate against geth. So much so that they're not any harder than any other faction. It's just if you have the audacity to play something that can't turn invisible or spam arc grenades that your life turns to suck against them. (By no means is this meant to be a comprehensive list of anti-geth skills).

I've gotten full extractions against geth tons of times, even with some of the classes that usually suffer the most against them. But any performance dips, a single squadmate out of place or not pulling their weight... no other faction screws you over quite so badly. I wouldn't mind how hard they are, if it was at least fun. But chain stagger is not fun. Being forced to camp out waves is not fun. Dying without any capacity to evade is not fun.

you can *facebrickwall* for all I care.

Aside from the classes that nullify the geth, there are weapons that provide the same effect. Any biotic character can take an acolye (along with your other weapon of choice) and hunters and rocket troopers are henceforth known as biotic punching bags.

Bring along a scorpion with ULM and turn those hunter/pyro swarms into grey mush. Falcon, GPS, Talon, all great for on-demand staggers.

On top of it all you can use the game mechanics to your advantage. The right-hand advantage is the easiest way to constantly put out damage while avoiding taking damage (and stuns). Certain power animations won't be interrupted by Geth Primes, Hunters, or RTs. e.g. grenades, ballistic blades, submission net.

This is just stuff off the top of my head. Your point is that the geth faction isn't fun to play against. I say each faction has a different playstyle required and "results may vary". I don't mind them. Yes, some classes can be dreadful if you don't have a suitable weapon equipped, but the same goes for phantom swarms or Banshees.

OK, after a weekend of backhanding Phatntoms into the stratosphere and headbutting Atlas Mechs, I completely forgot how bad the Geth can be. My Krogan Sentinel just got owned on Hydra/Geth on Silver !! Stunlock from hell. Literally ! There were times where I couldn't move at all  until all my shields and health were chewed up, despite using Ops Survival packs multiple times. We managed to successfully end the game, but wow. Seeing my mighty Krogan Sentinel being reduced to a mere target on a shooting range, brought tears to my eyes :crying:

No see, your post is about fighting successfully against Geth.  That's different from having fun while fighting the Geth.  You can't just conflate the two.  I doubt anyone in this thread has trouble fighting Geth successfully if they're prepared for it.  But getting credits isn't automatically fun.

I used to play U/U/G PUGs almost exclusively, and it got to the stage where every time I got Geth, even though we got our credits, I hated the game a little more.  Eventually I stopped playing for around a month, and when I came back one of my first games was Condor/Geth.  We got a full extraction; I didn't play again for a week.

It is possible to have fun against the Geth, but usually for me that revolves around taking something that'll utterly wreck them (like a Kroguard or Paladin) and then cheesing over them as much as they usually cheese over players.  And that gets boring fast.  By contrast I can play pretty much any setup against Reapers or Cerberus and have fun.

The logic is simple. If you die more than you are accustomed to, you are not having fun. If you know how to play against the geth well enough to where you aren't going down once a round and finish the game as easily as you would a different faction, then the game was probably just as enjoyable.

The frustration comes from playing U/U with a setup that doesn't account for the geth, so the simple answer is, account for the geth. lol
