I think you mismremember that. Yeah, it was there, but it wasn't as prominent as you would make it out to be, and certainly not every 15 minutes. It was nowhere near as much as in the DA franchise.

Anyway, I understand that people like the option, it just seems to me that focusing more on the main storyline and sidequests would be better.

You forgot the inventory baby.

Yeah, that was a pretty damn bad idea. I'm not saying it was perfect, but I think it was on a more reasonable level.

I hope DA3 features one companion who you can only romance if you defeat their Seven Evil Exes.

I like the romances, people are only asking Bioware for some lil extra flirts hugs and thengs instead of being a one sided thing.

You could have a baby in BG2 with one of the LIs, and the baby was added into your inventory. and bang, INVENTORY BABY WAS BORN.

Hm, yeah that was a stupid idea. I don't think you could even stack it into the bag of holding to free up inventory space...

Seems to hold true for video games as well.

op Looks like you would be happier playing a game like Skyrim. something i wont waste time or money on because of the shoddy way they handled romances.. Bioware is know n for their romances and is the main reason why I buy their games

IMO they need to divert More resource to enhancing the character interaction and romance area because they not put enough depth or content into them especially in ME3

People liking this feature too much probably isn't an argument that'll make Bioware scrap it.

Yeah. If it'll have an effect, it'll be the opposite of what the OP wanted.

I wonder how much money Bioware could make, if S.Meyer licensed the Twilight series to them?

I guess I'm alone in that opinion, then.

I liked Skyrim, but like many of Bethesda's games it's a game I will probably only play once since it has absolutely zero replayability.

I'd say dialing up the romances would be a more welcome option. No need to wait until the end of the game to have it come together (ahem, no pun intended), and more dialogue and having it integrate into the plot would be nice as well.

Many romances in adventure stories do directly affect choices made and risks taken.

Please don't just focus on the romances, Bioware, try writing a coherent story first...

I personally would just like to see a female "LI" that I liked. The previous four have all fell a little flat.

Morrigan: What a selfish witch. I will admit that the dialogue with Morrigan after starting a romance, and going through all her mood swings and personal confusion, was very rewarding. This is my favorite romance in the series, because in addition to the mechanical challenge of selecting the correct options, it felt like she had real character growth and change. Still... I didn't actually like her character, and had there been better options, I wouldn't go for her. (And in fact, in most of my playthroughs, I elect to simply have no romance).

Leliana: A fairly straight-forward, boring romance. She's pretty, and had an enjoyably quirky character. But I never felt any real connection or growth.

Isabella: Yawn. Promiscuous pirate with a heart of gold, or whatever. I don't think I've ever voluntarily taken her along on missions or talked to her, except in very specific instances. I like the character as a "bro", but I was always off-put by her over-the-top nonstop sexuality. Give it a rest. Some of us have work to do.

Merill: She was a fun companion. Like Leliana, she was pretty with a fun and quirky personality. But I never felt actually attracted to her. The romance always feels so sudden (mostly because of her obliviousness to your early flirt attempts), and you never feel any real connection with her. (Admittedly, the Rivalmance version is a bit better, since you do get to witness a bit of character growth and change. But not nearly on the level of Morrigan).

I've also romanced all the dudes (fair's fair), but I have little input on them, since I was more or less just doing it to see the dialogue and get cheevos. Anders had a lot of Morrigan-esque potential, but it just never quite followed through. Also, Morrigan had an advantage: You can get some closure with her in the Witch Hunt DLC. Both of them committed weird/bad acts at the end of their games. But with Morrigan, you got the chance to hunt her down, profess your love, and walk into the sunset (or Eluvian) with her. Not so with Anders.

*******

Ironically, one of the only female companions I've ever actually WANTED to romance, I couldn't.

Alas, my sweet Sigrun. We'll be together one day.

I agree. Too many LI threads will give BioWare the wrong impression.
