I want to be entertained by blood sport when I toy with people's emotions.

So, I really love catfights that make two or three LIs fighting over the protagonist(like the Ashley&Liara or Kaidan&Liara) I really missed this in DA2, you could simply dump them for another LI and they're totally okay with it and they don't confront you or your LI.
I even loved those jealousy confrontations in DA:O, I really had a lot of fun with this.
So, what do you think?
Obviously, you must have romanced Anders every time, because he has PLENTY of catty things to say if you shack up wth Fenris or Merrill. Dude's been obsessed with you for ten years.....
And if you decide you aren't going to wait for Fenris after his love scene and go for Anders....I swear, they were like 14 year old girls.
Read the wikia : http://dragonage.wik...ders_and_Fenris
Scroll down past the Act 3 stuff.....
I LOVE the catty stuff to hear the dialogue and snicker to myself. Rather have it eminating from 3D renderings than real people, combined with the hope Anders and Fenris will finally just duke it out and Hawke can have some peace and quiet.

They do. Personally I never saw the appeal myself.AntiChri5 wrote...

Some do have horrible self esteem.
I (and some others, I'm sure) just think the ambient dialogue when you do stuff like that tends to be hilarious. I pretty much bought Legacy for catty dialogue.

Umm yes. Your point being? Like probably most in here, I too validate and project all my hidden desires, angst, and repressed emotions through these videogame characters. There isn’t even one decision or action in the game that doesn’t rise from some abyss of my psyche, and there simply isn’t and cannot be any other motivation or pleasure in playing RPGs. So now when we have stated the obvious, can we move on with the catfights please. [/quote]
That right there is why auto-dialogue paraphrasing is dwon right EVIL.<_<

That too. I mean, why would anyone have a particular affinity for any character in any DA game when they aren't "real" if a few people don't play like that (We have an 8 page Cullen forum somewhere, so a few people DO play that way *raises hand shyly*)

If it makes sense, I guess. But I'd like to see it where you cheat, and both of them dump you.
No catfights, no choice, just you alone.

That should be included as well. If the PC goes to far (as in, moves beyond light flirting), the two LIs should dump him/her. Or there could be one LI that won't even accept light flirting and WILL end you if you continue to do so after the first warning. Also an LI that doesn't care if you sleep with someone else, but gets angry if s/he suspects an emotional involvment (like Isabela).

DAO had several different 3 somes. Isabela the Warden and his LI (except Morrigan).
Or, even better than a 3some.... a FOURSOME!!!!! Isabela, Warden, Zevran and Leliana.

It is never wise to definitively declare why people enjoy something, especially RPG's.Umm yes. Your point being? I, for one, enjoy interacting with characters. I don't want to see those characters turn into pathetic children because some players have an underdeveloped ego and can't deal with their issues properly. I want strong, independant characters who react to being lead on and cheated on by telling the cheater to **** off. I want romances to be based on things like mutual affection and respect between the character being roleplayed and the character in the game, not a warped power fantasy of someone who doesn't understand relationships.

Talking with the involved parties about the fact that my character is flirting or having a relationship with more than one character is fine. Having them duel to the death over it is kind of ridiculous.

Sh*t man! you're taking games too seriously. I can't believe I have to take that for suggesting something.
And to each his own.

"Catfights" over a supposed claim on another person is the sort of thing I expect to see on school buses or MTV reality shows. I'm not real interested in having that happen in a game.

This.
A love triangle isn't necessary to make a relationship dramatic.
I do, however, enjoy seeing party members interact, whether it's arguing or developing their own romances.

I meant a relationship not a sex encounter. Though NWN isn't the best example as there's just a "I'll share this man with you until we find a better decision". I was thinking more along the lines of a real, stable relationship between 3 people...

Agree with Tootles FTW, the only thing I would not mind is something like the Fenris/Anders comment.

I liked that in DAO Morrigan, Zevran, Leliana and Alistair confronted you when you developped romantic relationships with two people, it made way more sense than in ME3 and DA2 where they just knew and backed off without saying anything.
Yeah, I liked that characters brought up the fact that you pursued more than one love interest.
Hell, I liked it when characters chimed in about your CHOICE in love interest.
For example, Wynne's Concerns on Morrigan Romance, and Wynne's Change of Heart On The Subject
Very well done segments.
This would be great. I also liked ME1 where Ash/Kaidan and Liara confronted Shepard, and I liked the fact that in JE you could successfully romance both Dawn Star and Silk Fox.
