I liked in DAO when the LIs would confront the Warden, but I did not like DA2 where they squabbled amongst themselves like annoying preteens. I was glad in ME2+3 that Garrus was above bickering with Kaidan, but would have liked a few more references to Shep's previous history.

I would personally like to see both love interests tell the PC to go to hell if you cheat. Fictional characters or not, I would love to see them written in a way where they have enough self respect to not fight each other when it's the PC who is in the wrong.
Edit: Or even better, the companions being aware of your relationship and telling you to go to hell if you even try to cheat. Maybe even have certain companions TELL your LI of your intentions, and that gets you into trouble with your LI and possibly even dumped.
