DA:O is alright, not quite what I was expecting in regards to variety with dungeons, Orzammar for example is pretty tedious and overall the game lacks the charm and 'just one more go' feel that Baldurs Gate 1 & 2 had.
Tried the PS3 version before switching to the PC as I didn't get on with the lack of overhead perspective and while the PC version is miles better than the console (especially in terms of controlling party members in combat and frame rate - not surprised to see there's no PS3 support forum) I actually had the urge to reinstall BG with the Tutu mod and have spent more time on that than DA:O over the xmas break.
DA:O is a good start, don't get me wrong but it's not quite as enthralling as Bioware's Infinity Engine classics.
