I liked him in Awkenings....he was honorable and loyal and a good friend to my Cousland warden. He was great imho in Awakening and his appearance in DA2 was too brief. I would not mind seeing him in DA3 in some sort of expanded capacity...companion surely better but if even as a main side character ala Cullen would be better than his treatment in DA2...he was just too good a character to shelve in the series.

He's 'dead' in my game. I saved Amaranthine in my last playthrough and he didn't make it. Bit of a pain.

I would support you in having Nathaniel as a LI, as long as my demands are met.

He must either:
A) Shave off that sad, stupid little soul patch OR
Grow real facial hair, like a man.

I like Nathaniel, but dammit, I just want to crush his head with a rock whenever I see that pathetic excuse for a beard. BE A MAN, HOWE.

Hmm, can't say I need him as a companion, but I would be interested in Howe returning to the DA3 cast. In my opinion, he was one of the more under-rated characters of the series. Also my favorite Awakening companion, after Anders (who is hilarious).

Agreed. At first i thought he would grate my nerves with the whole "you killed my father angle", but he turned out to be a sensible character who's capable of forgiveness without the extended melodrama. Plus his diss on Velana's ears is hilarious.

In general, the party banter was excellent. I just got through rereading that convo where Howe rips on her about the Elves being immortal. Absolutely hilarious.

I joke with you, but I do actually like Nathaniel Howe as a character. He's actually got an interesting backstory that is directly tied in with your own previous actions, which makes his pain and anger feel far more complex and personal. I like it.

(But seriously, grow a real beard, man. I love you too much to watch you do this to yourself.)

The best part with Nathaniel was when you tell him to leave and he comes back pledging himself to you....liked that, even more so than conscripting him and him admitting it was a good thing.

erghhhhhhhhhhhh glitches are just so annoying, i killed that messenger of the architect's yet it said in the epilogue that he was wandering helping people and that an outbreak of the corruption had spread round that area

Yea, he comes back after one main quest has been completed...found it out on my 2nd playthrough. First time i was scared to lose him

dang, i thought i'd tried everything, except sending him away, coz i thought that would be it, he'd be gone permanently, now i definatley need to replay it and try that, or its just gonna bug me til i do, cant complain though, more nathaniel is always good

I would love love love to have him back, especially as a LI. However, I would like him to look similar to DAA Nathaniel rather than DA2 Nathaniel.
