I thought this was common knowledge... It's the same thing the kishock does I think. They have a delay don't they? I've not played with it much. I used it twice and hated it.
Tested both the Graal and the Kishock. It was while hosting which gives less issues.
They both have a delay(The Graal is about twice as worse as the Kishock, which wasn't too bad. Neither are as bad as the Crusader is), but it's projectile delay. You fire immediately then the projectile takes a fraction of a second to get there, which is more or less time depending on distance.
The Crusader just flat out doesn't fire where you're aiming. The bullet hits instantly but it doesn't hit where you're aiming unless you've been aiming there for 0.2+ seconds. Being hitscan also means that it's constant regardless of if you're hosting or not hosting. Nothing really matters what you do with the gun, it will always be roughly 0.2 seconds behind.

I was really wondering why the damage output with the gun always felt a bit low for what it should be.

A question to the op, did you test this as host or client? Just curious if it could be lag-related much like many other weapons we've got.
All my tests are done as host.
Which sadly means it's not lag related, and it's not just another "host only weapon", as it affects the host as well.

I had described it to friends as though it took longer for the recoil to "settle" than the crosshairs would indicate, as I couldn't hit a shot unless I waited a beat longer than "felt" right. Now I know that wait was just helping to ensure I was on-target the .2 seconds required before shooting.

This can be corrected by a Smart Choke before firing. I do recommend avoiding Incendiary effects, however, as they can render aiming largely impossible.Jack Crapper wrote...
Nice find. Thank you for that.
I find that if I overuse my Crusader the night before, it will sometimes shoot off center (a little to the left), especially in the morning. Has anyone else noticed this?

Calm down people. Crusader is host-only gun. With no host, it has the delay effect which is freaking irritating indeed.
Aside from the original post, the one 3 posts above you says that this is not a host/client effect. Check it out.

I tested it with hosting, it still has the glitch.
It isn't really a delay either, as much as it's just not hitting where you aim. The bullet itself still hits instantly, just not where your crosshairs are, unless you've been aiming at the same spot.

I think the Crusader was programmed with the same bullet trajectory as all other weapons but when they added the hitscan, it misses when aimed directly over a target because the game recognises the Crusader like all other weapons and applies the same rule of bullet trajectory. being hitscan, powers like overload should have replaced it.
Just my 2 cents.

But the moment they fix this I won't be able to hit anything now that I've mastered the art of Crusading.
Don't worry, they won't ever fix it. They may even buff it again to make peace with us. :innocent:

The color changing of the cross-hairs is what throws people off. Just because it highlights "good" doesn't mean it will actually hit.
