How can Bioware make snipers a more viable option again?

If you really want to help people who enjoy sniping disable the bloody screen shake for stuff like Biotic Slash.

Considering most mooks can down us with one squeeze of a trigger , i'd say headshot damage on bosses is a fair cop. Especially on Gold and Platinum where there are as many bosses as there are small enemies.

Oh how i've missed the headshot multiplier on bosses :crying:
I really hope this means that we get some of the extra HS damage back that we used to have on bosses.

Make the sniper scope mod reduce / nullify screen shake. People might start using them, especially with the new super barrel mod.

Also making the scope actually reduce magnification might be helpful.

I don´t know if it is possible but I´d like to get the adaptive zoom level (depending on distance to target) the Krysae scope has.
Plus nullifying screenshakes and seeing through smoke this Mod would actually be a viable option on some SRs.
In the current state noone ever uses it.

That would make a huge difference for sniper rifles and was one of my recommendations posted in the thread regarding the Carnifex/Piranha nerfs.

Honestly, the only time recently that Screen Shake has really screwed me over while sniping was when this one Shadow INSISTED on standing right next to me and spamming electric slash while I was using the Black Widow.

I never noticed how much the BW is so dependent on landing either a bunch of headshots, or all its shots in rapid sequence until that moment. Luckily, he stopped when I growled at him over it, and in the next match when I switch back to Javelin everything was smooth sailing.

Still—I would love it if the scope mods actually reduced screen shake like they imply. I've reeeally not noticed them helping.

Boss headshots? Awesome. Anyone also consider that it's kind of an indirect piranha nerf, because it means you have to get closer to the boss to max your damage?

my suggestion
Widow, BWidow, Jav. all given a x3 modifier against armor and or up their damage alot,... more than 10%.

Widow 1: damage at 1000
BW I : damage 900
Jav 1 :damage 1500
Incisor increase base clip size to 30
Raptor clip size doubled, and 10% more damage than a Matock
INDRA max reserve ammo increased by 25%
the others no idea other than clip size increase or reserve ammo increase or ?

Yh but i just hope its only possible on sniper rifles. Headshot damage better than shield gate surpass imo.

Probably a patch, since it was a patch that remove it for the Atlas and Prime.  Though I suppose it's possible that patch just un-hardcoded the bonus and referred it to the balance files.

As for screen shake, I can't believe so many people still complain about that.  Just move somewhere else.  I'd much rather seen Snipers exempt from Auto-Aim since I'm tired of my scope moving 10 feet to the left at Husk when I'm trying to kill that Maurader/Banshee/Brute.
