This I support. There are ways of making elves look more distint from humans without making them look ridiculous.

The old Germanic word of "elf" means small. Plus that was the mythological reasoning as to why people of dwarvin stature were born to humans, because an elf or dwarf stoled their child and replaced it with one of their own. The Scandinavian mythology had regular elves and dark elves, the dark elves lived under ground while the regular elves lived in mystical woods, groves and streams that were covered by a thin veil beyond our own world.
--so my question is, what does the old familiarity of fantasy races have to do with wanting better looking elves?
The elves are a completely alien race and should resemble such which is why the Da2 elves worked.Unless the elf is half-human, then and only then should they use the pointy ear human model like they did with fenriyal.
I don't understand what they did there in DA2. Alistair is half elf and he doesn't have pointy ears like Fenriyal.
