I am getting burnt out and frustrated from playing with under-skilled and under-equiped players, particularly new-comers, on platinum difficulty.  I waste hard to get equipment and precious free time while they mooch off me and other adept players.  A successful platinum mission requires four skilled and well equiped players, or three skilled players and one new-comer willing to take direction and advice... most aren't.  I can only kick so many of them!

I propose limiting platinum difficulty missions to those who have an N7 rank of 500 or higher, or to those who are invited to join a game.  If you have an N7 rank of 499 or less you cannot create a platinum match nor join one through quick match.  They need to learn how to play the game, level up and unlock equipment on easier levels before they can play the highest difficulty.  This will prevent the more skilled players from becoming frustrated with them, and prevent new-comers from thinking ME3 multiplayer is full of jerks.  This will also reduce cheating via the missle glitch, as it is usually new-comers that do it to exploit the high credit payouts and experience from platinum missions.  Lastly, having the highest difficulty being something that has to be unlocked will add an inviting challenge to the game and likely increase the number of players... but probably not at first.

Thanks for you time, BioWare staff!

I know 120s that can run circles around most of the elitists in BSN.
(I'm NOT one of them)

So, NO

Bioware does not give any advantages to promoting, so... no. Just quit if you don't like the players, its not forcing you to play, its why there is a quit button.

No. The only remotely reasonable limit would be 120, but even that's going too far. There are plenty of incredible players who choose not to promote and they shouldn't be penalized for it. And there are a ton of players well into the thousands who still have no idea how to play.

I'm 210 and I consider myself more skilled than some people with N7's over 5K.
They shouldn't have even made the N7 system. You should be able to see somebody's manifest right then and there, it'd solve a lot of problems.

They bought the game, so they are entitled to play whatever difficulty they want.

I know it can be frustrating but....get over it.

Less than N7 120 means you have not even bought more than 5 million worth of packs though.

Obviously that means they are by all definitions of the word a noob and have bad gear.
(Unless they have the best luck ever and somehow get a level X ultra-rare with less than 5 million.)

(I emphasized less since people seem to think I mean that 120 means you are bad.... I always say LESS than 120 means you are bad.)

You're being to lenient.Make it 2004.That should be the baseline obviously because N7 rank matters until rank 120-19196349.

Damn. I wouldn't be able to play Platinum with those conditions.

Some people have to learn how to play better instead of putting limits to others.

If you can't carry at least 1 player then don't talk about others not being prepared.

The idea this thread began with is on the same level of awesomeness the ending had before EC.
(It's a really sh*t idea)

True, but what about when you search for 45 minutes and only get matches with level 243-413ish levels with uncommon weapons and stupid classes all day in Platinum?...

I like to find a good group and play multiple fast matches rather than play one excrutiating and long match with randoms that leave right after they realize how bad they are.

Their N7 doesn't matter, their builds do :P

Restrictions like this are not good, for example Jay Hoxtatron has an N7 120, and I haven't seen too much players that can play as good as him.

PS: 45 mins? wow, things seems to be bad on Xbox, on PC i get one in less than 10 now :P
