True, but what about when you search for 45 minutes and only get matches with level 243-413ish levels with uncommon weapons and stupid classes all day in Platinum?...

I like to find a good group and play multiple fast matches rather than play one excrutiating and long match with randoms that leave right after they realize how bad they are.

I would say the raptor and the viper are EXTREMABLLY viable.I've alse seen a drell guard get 2nd place(Cause you know,I'm so awesome nobody can beat me)

The Viper is good, yes.

But what about when they have a Vindicator and a Scimitar?...

Their N7 doesn't matter, their builds do :P

Restrictions like this are not good, for example Jay Hoxtatron has an N7 120, and I haven't seen too much players that can play as good as him.

PS: 45 mins? wow, things seems to be bad on Xbox, on PC i get one in less than 10 now :P

10 is still bad though.I guess thats what you would expect for a seemmingly hard learning curve, patches and etc.

Yeah, contrary to what most posters seem to think, N7 rank can actually tell you a couple things about the player. If they're below 120 and have joined a platinum, odds are high that they don't have good equipment/weapons to survive. Of course, there's always outliers, but for the most part, N7 120 is when I stop assuming things about how much another player knows about the game and its mechanics.

Edit: On topic, I'm still undecided as to whether to add such a restriction. Answer me this, why not continue kicking/starting new lobbies until you find a team you deem viable?

Im not sure how N7 level equates to skill; game knowledge; equipment :?

You can be (theoretically) N7 20 (twenty) and be exceedingly skilled and have all ultra rares unlocked.  Probably unlikely, but there are N7 120s with everything unlocked, and are very skilled.

Apart from the incorrect premise, I still disagree with the idea though.  Limits in a non-competitive co-op game is a bit pointless IMO.  Just get better skilled until one can carry these nooby sub-N7 500s...

I have never liked the vindicator.
The scimitar...It could use a little buff since it is outcrowned by the almighty pirrahna.

The idea this thread began with is on the same level of awesomeness the ending had before EC.
(It's a really sh*t idea)

I don't like this idea, but I liked that ending. Gave some room for interpretation.

But yeah, this idea sucks.

120 might be reasonable, anything above that far too controversial. Having 120 means you've at least spent enough credits to unlock a few rares and level up your uncommons.
It is possible to beat a platinum game with level 1 characters using basic weapons, but the people achieving that feat are by no means noobs.
Having said that, I still don't think such a measure is even necessary. In my experience 90% of the people I get joining my U/U/P are at least capable of handling themselves in the team, even if they might not be counted on to solo a wave if the rest of the team wipes.
Don't forget: sometimes you can search for bronze and get dumped into a platinum lobby. It might not even be their fault!

I think we definitely need a lower limit to keep the riff raff out. I propose 1 as that lower limit.

I would like to kick, but you need 2 or 3 other players to agree, and I can spend an hour exiting a recreating a match trying to get rid of noobs.

Some of you are overly dramatic (jacob taylor416, etc.)! Anomolies don't invalidate a good argument! Take statistics! There is a good correlation between a high N7 rank and that player having good skills and eqiupment; anomolies and exceptions aside.

I've played numerous platinum matches over the last two months, and have noticed that 9 times out of 10 a player with an N7 rank above 500 can do reasonably well on platinum, while those below it suck. On occasion I've noticed the opposite, but it is quite infrequent.

If you have good skills, getting your N7 to 500+ shouldn't be too difficult or much of a burden.

@RedJohn: I've carried all 3 quite a number of times!

it would be faster if you didnt have to spend 2 min to open Origin, another 2 connecting to EA servers then another 2 checking the dlc

They should just change the default quick match difficulty from "Any" to "Bronze"

I suppose that if you had only deployed one character, then you could have an N7 ranking of only 20, even if you actually had every class at level 20 from character cards... In any case, the N7 rating system is not a very good indicator of player skill.

I propose limiting platinum difficulty missions to those who have an N7 rank of 500 or higher, or to those who are invited to join a game.  If you have an N7 rank of 499 or less you cannot create a platinum match nor join one through quick match.  They need to learn how to play the game, level up and unlock equipment on easier levels before they can play the highest difficulty.

So what you're proposing is that all the sub 500 people who have maxed out manifests need to level up and unlock equipment?

Seems legit. Tell me then, what do they have left to unlock? Is there some secret second manifest that only starts showing up once you hit N7 500?

No? Congratulations, you're a moron.

I'm near 600 and can barely survive gold. There's probably people with double-digit N7 ratings that would do better in platinum than me.

Annd ladies and gentlemen, we have the same stalker guy coming after me again in almost every thread I post just looking for more excuses to attack me. How long has it been now?

Or are you actually genuinely in agreement with the OP that there is, in fact, a secret second manifest that only unlocks after you reach N7 500? Or that N7 ranking is, in fact, an accurate measurement of skill and manifest progress?

The fact that you're choosing to hold a grudge for so long - as well as remembering my name and finding excuses to attack me whenever I post - ...well, that much speaks for itself.

I wash my hands of this thread and it's overwhelming amounts of N7 elitism and glorious e-peen stroking.
