Flemeth In III

So far she has been instrumental in the story of both the Warden and Hawke.
As the series has continued she has been revealed to be far more than any of us thought she was.
She is ancient. Stories of her are told in human and elven cultures. She is an incredibly powerful shapeshifter. She can split a part of herself off to ensure her survival. She may even be watching Sandal in his sleep. These are just a few of the things we know about her.
Does anybody think her role will expand in DAIII or will it be smaller like in DAII?

Maybe not everything about her will be revealed but I don't see the point of her showing up again , being all cryptic and then vanishing.
I think we're going to play an Inquisitor who's trying to understand what's the hell is going on in Thedas.
So meeting Flemeth should be important , and the p.c we're going to play should be super curious.( well , I can dream it's gonna be the case...)
One thing i would like is our new p.c trying to understand why the warden and Hawke vanished ,and confront Flemeth about that.

One problem with that is that not everyone's canon Wardens survived final battle. In these cases the new Warden Commander never met Flemeth and I don't see why she would care about him/her.

But seriously... I hope she doesn't turn out to be the bad guy. That would be too obvious.

I'm more concerned about another thing...My Warden did not kill Flemmeth on Morrigan quest - she just took a book....And my Hawke helped her to resurrect from that amulet...so.. do I have TWO Flemeths now?!... 8P
No, that was just an insurance plan in case Morrigan or the Warden came to kill her. If that didn't happen, it's safe to assume she abandoned her old body in favor of the new one that Hawke created for her. Or something.

....aahh...speculations, speculations for everyone!...If that didn't happen, it's safe to assume she abandoned her old body in favor of the new one that Hawke created for her. Or something.
I hope we'll see. I doubt they'd resurrect her "just in case".

If Flemeth didn't take them away so to speak, and was rather being investigated by Hawke and the Warden Commander, their disappearances still makes sense in a Flemeth-related story. There's a variety of ways in which its possible for the Orlesian Warden Commander to get involved.

Player: "Flemeth! Thank god you have arrived, just in the nick of time!"
Dragon: I'm not Flemeth.....RAWR!"
Player: "Damn."

We kill dragons all the time. Now if it spoke and was actually not Flemeth, then damn is totally an appropriate response.

Companion dragon? M&M comes to my mind, you know..travelling never was nicer...I would be surprised if Flemeth and her new body wouldn't become a companion or at least prominent npc.

At the moment she seems like anything anyone does would result in her laughing and saying "exactly as I planned" and then exhibiting some magic power that no one else has to get what they want.
Either that or she'll continue to have the power to make doing her wishes a "Main Quest"

The hand-waved master plan is the worst possible outcome for a character like hers. By the Maker and all the Old Gods I hope they don't go that route.

Unless I'm forgetting something from DA:O, we really haven't seen much of her "powers" except for the ability to become a dragon...and her gift of hazy foresight. At this point, it may be that anything attributed to her is just legend - that the shapeshifting is it, as far as the extraordinary goes. She may just be a really sharp creature who has learned quite well how to survive.Wulfram wrote...

Foresight, self resurrection/teleportation or duplication, OGB rituals, shapeshifting into a dragon, shapeshifting into a different human form
She may well end up having appropriate limits, but what we've seen so far makes me nervous.

I'm still thinking the elvish trickster god, or an avatar of sorts (for lack of a better term) could be an explanation.Wulfram wrote...

All of her characteristics would clearly categorize her as a "trickster" in any real world human mythology.
