Yeah, sure the environments are linear, but other than that, the inventory system is a lot simpler, graphics have been overhauled, and while the story seems weak so far (still on Tranquility), the side missions make up for it.

I also like what they did with the map, night/day cycle, mission points, etc. Amazing stuff really.

(and if you wanna know: I bought the digital copy through XBOX Live)

Tranquility is so early on that you haven't had time to fully experience the recycled environments (one of the major cons in DA2) yet. Still, I do agree that it is a fun game.

Yes, but nothing like DA2.

It is true: recycled environments are a major problem with this game. If you can look past that, though, there's still quite a lot to enjoy.

Yeah, DA2 is pretty good. Not perfect, and I'm ironically enjoying Dragon Age: Origins more the older I get, but DA2 is still a very well made game given the circumstances. DA2 had a lot of very cool ideas that work quite well (streamlining the overwhelming amount of inventory management from DA:O, making companions more unique in combat, making combat a heck of a lot punchier, etc), but DA2 was ultimately held back from being quite as special as people hoped due to a shockingly short development cycle. I've heard that it may have been as short as 1 year and 4 months, which is just ridiculous if it's true. In any case, it definitely wasn't anything more than 2 years, which is still not enough for such an expansive IP as Dragon Age.

I don't mind recycled environments. I mean, it is what it is, and as long as I'm killing things that's all I care about.

I'm gonna bang the **** out of Merrill though.

A post I wholeheartedly agree with! :D

Just don't expect anything R-rated with Merrill; DA2 generally keeps sex scenes PG-13.

I played DA:O and the ME series extensively, I don't expect much ever. I should have written, "I'm gonna romance the **** out of Merrill" instead

DA2 can be enjoyable, if you think of it as it's own game, rather than a sequel to Origins.

DA2 is very fun. The recycled environments were the only bad part for me.

it is not that DA:2 is was not fun, it is really that there was more negative than positive.
if it was utter crap most people would not have finished it (me included)

the worse part for me was
The mind numbing monotonous repetitiveness of the combat
The impression that as a player i cared more about Kurkwall that anyone living in it including Hawke.
that the companion despite being more developed than in DA:0 ended up being blander.
ACTIII
Game play that was more single player with dudes on your side rather than a team.
non-viability of sub-optimal build that would enable people to develop the char to fit the role playing as opposed as optimal build.

In regards to the inventory system being easier... I'd seriously disagree.

If a One Star Ring gives same stat bonus as Five Star Ring, if I have tons of stuff in my inventory that is labeled as junk and has no value whatsoever, to anything at all, and if I don't have to worry about armor for any of my companions yet I'm STILL having trouble finding the equipment I need?

Then that's not a clean inventory system. Its one that requires more attention, number crunching and memorization than anything ME1 or DA:O had.

It can be fun if you can look past all its problems but there are so many awesome games that don't suffer. The Room is a lot of fun but I wouldn't call it good.

I love the logic behind that...nudity and sex are bad but exploding bodies; blood; language; and decapitation is not harmful in the least.

Another sex-crazed DA 2 fanboy who wants to bang a bunch of pixels to death. Seems legit. -_-

I prefer to masterbate to the sims where I can customize my performers to my own liking, install a nude mod, and then go.

Dragon Age has too much ugly (Zevran, Anders, Fenris) and the only hot romanceble guy (Alistar) needs mods to make him gay, on top of the extra sex mods I installed. (I really recommend the mod that gives you tons of more options at the pearl. Seriously, it has great stuff.)

TMI? Probably? But I really don't care if you think its pathetic. Its like customizable porn.

lol. Sims does have creepy moments though. i saw one of my neighbors walkin down the street naked one time. most awkward moment of silence ever. and my sim just sat on his porch and stared. lol.

But anyway... DA 2 is a good game. it needs some work, however, since i hated being so cooped up in Kirkwall, and the Bone pit, Sundermount, and wounded coast did not do. i tried an annual "Clean out Sundermount" but that didn't do so well, honestly. anyway, i just really would like a variety of places to go. Legacy kind of made me feel better about it, since you are miles away from the cooped up city of Kirkwall.

Combat is one of the strong points in DA2, which does make it fun, though I wish the rest of the game wasn't so rushed.

DA2 is quite enjoyable... apart from the recycled environments the characters are neato, and while the story isn't as cohesive as DA:O, it's still enjoyable (common theme over 3 different tales). On Act 3 and just making my mage look older as time progresses :3

Don't worry, I'm pretty sure most of BSN has experimented with dirty mods at some point. :P
