So, I finally unlocked the Geth Engineer. My first impression is "Holy squishy!" It seemed like if something looked at me I was at less then 1 health bar.

So, now I come to you to ask for some build help.

I have Geth Turret 6/6 With Turrent Damage, Restore Range, and Flamethrower
Hunter Mode: 6/6 with Weapon accuracy, Power damage, and extended range and move speed
Overload: 6/6 All the multitarget upgrades and Incap
Networked AI: 6/6 with weapon damage, power damage, and Geth weapon bonus
Advanced Hardware is obviously 0/0

Weapons: I started with the Geth Plasma Shotgun but found I was too soft to make good use of it. I currently only wield the Geth Pulse Rifle with Stability, and extra capacity. This has let to improved results from longer range.

Equipment: Shield booster 3 or Tech Power damage and recharge

I am squishy but the bouncing Overload really (seems to me at least) to destroy Geth and helps a great deal vs Cerberus waves.  The Pulse rifle is a laser with the mods and my recharge isn't hampered.

Salarian Engineer:

Energy Drain: 6/6 with Radius, Damage, and extra restoration
Decoy: 6/6 with Durability, Recharge speed, and Duration and shields (I was thinking for switching recharge speed to AOE shock but it seems like trvial damage.)
Incenarate: 6/6 with damage, recharge, and vs armor bonuses
Salarian Operative: 6/6 with Weapon damage and headshot damage

Weapons: Avenger X (Capacity, Stability) and Eviserator VII (Accuracy, Damage) I just picked up the Cerberus Harrier. Havn't gotten a chance to use it.

Equipment: Almost always Shield Booster 3

I'm hoping to try Gold matches soon. Which is what I am trying to gear my Salarian Engie for. The Geth is too squishy for it. So, any tips, builds, suggestions, critisism, or ponies are appreciated.

To make the Geth Engineer less squishy I go 6/0/6/6/6 and put everything into power damage. This way the flamethrower and Overload do maximum damage, great for stripping shields and melting armor (I put armor damage in rank 5 of Geth Turret). Don't really play SE as I don't like Energy Drain.

0 Fitness Geth Engineer is fine on Gold. Pop on a Cyclonic Mod for the durability. I prefer the Saber or Talon on mine. My build is the same as yours. Use Disprutor Ammo for self Tech Bursting. Contrary to what you think you are a weapons platform. Overload and Turret are for crowd control or bonus damage not the primary source.

I haven't spent much time with the Salarian.

My GE has 0 in Advanced Hardware as well, although the turret is spec'd completely for shields. I run GPS or Saber.

My SE is 6/3/6/5/6. I don't care for Decoy and would rather just do Tech Bursts. Paladin, Saber, something of that nature is decent.

This.

I find hunter mode on the geth engineer to not be worth the shield penalty.  With the all damage turret and overload and a decent use of cover, the geth engineer can be a real crowd control class.

On my salarian engineer I find I do best if I skip incinerate.  I spam decoy to distract and open up with my harrier.  Any time I need shields, energy drain is there.

Really? I'm new to Engineers in general. I never did them in single player so these Tech Bursts are news to me. Care to elaborate a bit?

Are they similar to Biotic Explosions? One ability into another = boom?

This is my Geth Engineer build:

Turret (6) - Shields Restored, Healing Range, Frequency
Hunter Mode (5) - Accuracy, Fire Rate
Overload (6) - Chain Overload, Neural Shock, Shield Overload
Networked AI (6) - Power/Capacity, Power Damage, Weapon Damage
Fitness (3)

I equip a Talon X with Piercing Mod and Extended Barrel along with a Hurricane with High Velocity Barrel + Extended Mag and it works great. You can skip fitness and put the other evo on Hunter Mode for extra 10% damage if you want the boost. Either one works fine.

For a Salarian Engineer, I use:

Energy Drain (6) - Damage, Shield Restoration, Armor Boost
Decoy (6) - Shields, Shock, Explosion
Incinerate (6) - Damage, Burning Damage, Armor Damage
Salarian Operative (5) - Power/Capacity, Power Damage
Fitness (3)

I usually equip something lightweight, like a Hurricane, Talon, Scorpion, or Piranha. It works out real well.

Edit - Also, slapping some Incendiary Ammo on either class works great for detonating fire explosions.

I go 6/5/6/6/3 for a little extra durability. Damage/flamethrower spec turret, chain/incapacitate/chain overload, weapon damage/power damage/weapon damage in networked AI. I can't remember but I think I did recharge/RoF on hunter mode.

I used to use GPR or GPSMG with disruptor ammo for the tech bursts, but I've switched to Indra with good results. Do not, however, underestimate the GPR or GPSMG on a GE. People usually recommend a defensive turret, but I have tried both and much prefer the offensive turret. Chain chain overload just tears down the geth.

On the GE I use 6/6/6/6/0 on platinum and it works out really well.

narida.pytalhost.com/me3/classes/#23NQNLAB9@0KE@@D4E4@0@0

The only point you should really change if you want is the 6th rank in hunter mode. I've switched back and forth and both work well but ultimately I prefer speed and vision for better awareness. The extra speed you gain from this talent is what tips the scales over for me though the damage bonus affects your weapon, overload, and turret so it's a huge benefit as well.

Turret is specced for healing. The reason I don't get extra shields on the 4th rank is because I'm more concerned with getting back my shield gate and I'd prefer to have my turret survive longer when I'm not actively redeploying it. Also with hunter mode on, the turret will fill your shields up completely so there is no need for more. You get full shields and your partners get their shield gate back which is what's important.

tldr; don't spec fitness on this class!

Thanks for all the tips. I'll put them to good use. Hopefully I'll get a Gold group with a mild bit of patience while I test the waters.

I have used almost every build there is on the Geth Engineer, but now I have found one that really suits my play style.

I go 0/6/6/6/6 (yes, no points in turret) and have overload for hitting multiple targets and incapacitating organics. Hunter Mode is weapon bonuses all the way and the same goes for Networked AI. On Fitness I go full melee.

Equip Geth Plasma Shotgun (melee mod and damage mod), use berserker package, warp rounds, Strength Enhancer or Shotgun Rail Amp and Adrenaline Module. Now you can have a lot of fun on both Gold and Platinum!

I have partial points in incinerate for my salarian eng but just about never use it. I spam ED continually. I have even thought of not having any incinerate at all and just adding those points into fitness. I use the Indra for him and of course try and keep a decoy up as often as possible. I think the Indra is the ideal gun for him.

I've had mixed results with sniper Rifles. I always fear the Boss type mobs. Banshees in particular.

Nothing drove me more crazy then trying to Biotic combo a Banshee only the have it fail and then get magnet handed.

For engie I shotgun little dudes. The Eviserator has the right balance of ammo, reload speed, and damage for me. The Avenger is my boss weapon. It stops Banshees from teleporting, keeps shielded ones from regening, causes Phantoms to stop mercilessly advancing and Palm of Extreme Hurting me into sword to gut.

Salarian engineer specced 6/6/6/5/3 carrying the Hurricane is very effective on gold especially against the Geth.
Decoy works on everybody though :)

^this, shock/exploding decoy not only helps to attract aggro better (in my experience), but also staggers enemies with the explosion and with the sound you know it's time to place a new decoy.
You're going to love the harrier with this build.:)

So it's basically this build giving you a melee power of over 1230 damage points and nearly 2400 damage points with every Geth Plasma Shotgun shot (Warp Ammo bonus NOT included!).

Definitely a killer, no doubt. The only problem is that the Geth Engineer comes pre-equipped with 1 point in "Geth Turret". So to be able to create this suggested build, you'll have to use a Re-Specc Card and should not promote that character after that (unless you want to invest another Re-Specc Card).
