Re: Operation PATRIOT
Confidentiality classification: XB-PRIME
Distribution: N7 Forces Only

Soldiers of the Milky Way –

Cerberus has been a thorn in our side since this war began. Thankfully, due to the overwhelming success of Operation PATRIOT, that pain has been greatly reduced. While it would be naïve to say that Cerberus won’t recover, it will take them time to rebuild--time we can use to focus on the Reapers.

Our teams destroyed a host of Atlas mechs, but that is just the tip of the iceberg. The drones we deployed captured Cerberus data detailing unusual Reaper movement and intelligence. Ballistic analyses and postmortem examinations conducted by Cerberus scientists confirm a new offensive strategy, and this Reaper intel will further our cause.

To the Operation PATRIOT squads: You represent the very best of your respective militaries. More than that, you represent the very best of our allied army as a whole. It is by trusting in the strengths of our allies that we will succeed. This galaxy belongs to all of us, and we will defend it together.

--Admiral Hackett

Well done everyone, the success margin was REALLY close with 604028, but you made it!

All reward packs have now been granted. If you believe you should have earned one and did not get it, please get help HERE.

The weird thing is by being this close you actually feel that your specific part in the whole thing meant something. So your welcome :P

I'm kinda surprised it was this close - thought we'd absolutely smash this challenge.

Looking forward to my Jumbo Equipment Pack today with my Eagle VII. ;)

I think Torchland 2 was to blame.

I'm not surprised that it was so close. Every game I dropped into on Friday was against GETH. GETH! 10 or 12 games. Geth don't have Atlases, people.

Another hint to new enemy units.
Maybe not a new faction, but new enemies in the current ones

I would have thought we destroyed it, too. I was sure we'd have well over a million.

I don't believe it at all. period. On weekends where eveyrone is playing for lots of hours we fail missions then on weekends after BL2 release we pass? My friends list on these ops used to be running like 30 hours doing objectives for the com goal. at least 50 people all running gold and platinum. plenty of mechs and we would still fail. now all of them moved over to BL2 and we pass??? I played 1 game during this operation for my com pack against ceberus on gold I used to play like 20-30 hours during these ops and we'd still fail.

BW makes up the numbers IMO

As this community has never had a means to verify the information that Bioware provides concerning events, skepticism is all we have ever really had.  Anyone remember the event where the progress update was 6 hours late and apparently reported values that were 18 hours old?  I think that is the definition of bad math.  A bit of skepticism is entirely healthy at this point.

You have the Techno Turian in your ops squad?
Lucky.

That said, this was a close shave success, just like the last challenge was a close shave failure. Seeing slim margins makes things look good.
