While playing mp today, I had a guy join my match who was N7 1. The other two players were high N7 ranks and one of them (am not sure which) kicked him. Just because he was a level one. It was his first match. I was playing bronze cos my soldier was a level one but I thought this was horrible. We were all level one at one time and we had to start somewhere. It wasn't even a silver match or higher. I'd understand them not wanting someone so new on a higher rank match but it was bronze. I have to say, am pretty disgusted right now. I friended the guy so he'd have someone to play with as he gets used to playing mp. He did very well for his first match. Am I the only one to be disgusted by this kind of behavior?

I remember that kind of thing happened to me a couple of times when I started playing ME3 MP. I got upset in the beginning because I knew that was the cause. I was glad when I eventualy found some people that let me do a bronze match with them.

Once when I was a team leader I was playing with some friends and we needed a fourth player and someone who had N7 1 dropped in. None of us kicked him and I didn't even consider kicking him. We were all around level 16 anyway so no problem for us. After playing with him I saw he wasn't a beast but at least he was trying. I got him up when he got dropped and watched how he played. I know I needed some time before getting used to the MP so I treated that guy as I would have wanted to be treated.

It happened to me a few times too. When I first played, I was kicked from about 5 matches in a row so I ended up trying to get my first few levels in a private match on my own. Needless to say, that did not work well. I felt horrible when it happened to me and I'd never want to do that to someone else. Also, how are we supposed to get new players into mp, if the moment they join, someone will try to kick them. I know everyone does not do it but those that do should be ashamed of themselves. That kind of behaviour is not going to benefit multiplayer.

Same thing happend to me a few times recently, now i've started promoting again' and my N7 is in the 900's. I even started a thread about it but some of the feedback was basically 'if you're level 1 i'm going to kick you'. Some people make me despair of the human race.

I don't get why they kick people at level 1, we all were level 1 before!!!! I found it quite upsetting actually. If I knew which one had kicked him, I'd have kicked them myself. I have no problems playing with people who are new or have a very low N7 rank. I do however have a problem playing with jerks who kick someone for being a low level!!!!

Don't worry about it, It works both ways. I got kicked a few times already trying to join a bronze game. It obviously was my bad that I had a lvl 20 character and a N7 rating above 600 and the other dudes were in their "50s".

I didn't get it, but so what, no harm done. ;)

Happened to me too. I've never understood why they kicked an Asari Justicar with an Acolyte, it's not like i could have stolen many kills with that.Image IPB

Funniest thing is that I rarely end up on top. I play supportive with any character, even Vanguards. Nobody knows that of course... so I can't blame them. :o

If anyone would like to play MP with me, drop me an invite on the Xbox 360. My N7 rating is around 1050.

Level doesn't matter, just want to have a bit of fun. :)

And for the lower levels that have just started, I play Gold with the default Human Engineer with a very nice setup which I will post here now, so you can use the same if you like. :)

Please note that I also have another setup for this class that you might prefer involving the Combat Drone.

Male/Female Human Engineer:

Power Levels:

Combat Drone - 0
Incinerate - 6
Overload - 6
Alliance Training - 6
Fitness - 6

For Incinerate, get the first 3 upgrades, as required. Then for upgrade 4, 5 and 6 select the following:
- Increase Impact radius by 1.5 meters
- Increase damage by an additional 50% over 8 seconds
- Increase damage to armoured targets by 50%

For Overload, get the first 3 upgrades, as required. Then for upgrades 3, 4 and 5 do the following:
- Increase Damage by 30%
- Incapacitate weaker enemies for a short duration
- Increase Damage by 15% and Hit 1 additional target within 8 meters with 60% less damage.

For Alliance Training get the first 3 upgrades as required, then for upgrades 4, 5 and 6 do the following:
- Increase power damage and force bonuses by 10% and increase weight capacity bonuses by 20 points.
- Increase power damage and force bonuses by 15%
- Decrease weight of all weapons by 20%

For Fitness get the first 3 upgrades as required, then for upgrades 4, 5 and 6 do the following:
- Increase Health and Shield bonuses by 15%
- Decrease shield recharge delay by 15%
- Increase Health and Shield bonuses by 25%

This setup is very good if you like to cause tech explosions and like spamming powers. Not only this, but if you choose the right weapon setup, the power recharge speed can be a minimum of 100%. For me, it is currently +192%, and I have 2 weapons equipped. These weapons are:
- The Indra sniper rifle VI
- The Phalanx pistol X

The Indra is a rare weapon however, but I found the Raptor a satisfactory replacement. Of course, this is my setup and you might not like snipers; the choice is yours really.

The weapon attachments are as follows:
- Indra has Shredder Mod and Extended Barrel Mod
- Phalanx has the Shredder Mod and Extended Barrel Mod

These increase damage and allow me to shoot through light cover and Guardian shields. Not only that, but also ignores a percentage of an enemies armour. For example, a level V Shredder Mod ignores 65% of an armoured targets defenses.

Now, onto the Combat Drone setup. This one is peculiar, and not used for what you would expect.

Replace either Overload or Incinerate with Combat Drone.

Get the first 3 upgrades as required, then for upgrade 4, 5 and 6 do the following:
- Drone Explodes when destroyed, dealing 400 points of damage across a 5 meter radius
- Upgrade drone's short-range attack to deal 130 points of damage across a 5 meter radius.
Drone stuns enemies for a short duration.
- Upgrade drone's electrical pulse to jump and hit 3 additional targets.

This Combat Drone setup is used as a bomb, basically. When you spawn it next to, lets say, a phantom. the drone will zap it with electricity, and the phantoms immediate instinct is to attack it. When the drones dies, it blows up in her face. Take note that with this setup, the drone has a cooldown of under 2 seconds. So when it dies, you can spawn another one. Literally spam these abilities.

Also, these powers will intensified with the power bonuses from the Alliance Training talent tree. Increasing the explosion damage to 660, rather than 400. All power damage is increased, so keep that in mind. :)

At any rate, I hope this helps some folks out there, I know new players might think that the starting characters aren't very good, but that simply isn't the case. I use this on Gold and I'm frequently on top of the leaderboard.

Anyone can feel free to use this setup, so enjoy! :)

yeah, about last post..
Why would you take 30% damage on Overload instead of +1 target? 30% gives you only 66 damage on first target, that's incredibly low, especially on gold, but +1 target works great, especially on geth. And I doubt taking 5 upgrade "Neural Shock" - it's harder to aim to lying enemies..
Also I'd never take Fitness over Combat Drone, but what do i know ^^ But really - it can save your life in many, many ways, for example - distract banshees and brutes while you uploading or smth.

Agree completely on combat drone, especially on Gold. I think alot of teammates in higher levels don't understand the effectiveness of the drone for support....just from the perspective of distracting high level enemies to allow you to work down barriers and shields for 5-10 seconds...makes a huge difference. I can't tell you how many spots it has gotten the team out of on Drone Escorts for FWGG. Interesting suggested use of the drone for Phantoms, but I have to think about more than Phantom behavior, plus if I can just distract them for a few seconds I can take them down most times. But I definitely have the Human Engineer as one of my 3 favorite kits.

That's why we are all different. Some play as pure damage dealers, others prefer to take a supportive role. No need to argue about those builds, to be fair. :)

I usually play as a damage dealer, on bronze. Since I started playing silver, I mostly hide behind cover and take shots at enemies and the others then take them out. I even occasionally kill some ha ha. But since I started silver, my uncommon weapons are going up and I just unlocked the Indra and the Kishock Harpoon. Must try them out tomorrow. But I think I'll do that on bronze lol

I can see why an extra +1 hit can be helpful, but I'd prefer damage. As any enemy I'm shooting at isn't standing for long. It's all down to reaction time, if you can stun and drop a target in under 2 seconds, the +1 is obsolete. Not to mention the 2 sec cooldown. As for the low damage, my gear bonus and the Alliance Training bonuses makes up for it. Not only that, but I use Overload only to take shields out or incapacitate an enemy.

As for Neural Shock, it's a support upgrade for me. If someone is about to executed, incapacitating that enemy is easier than trying to shoot him and risk a team mates death.

Combat Drone is good for distractions, I know this already. But it doesn't live long enough to be a decent distraction. A few Marauder shots on Gold and the drone is history. Utterly pointless unless used as a bomb that chases and zaps enemies. I prefer the extra health and shields over the Drone any day.

But overall, my class is built to tackle all factions, not just one. So while a drone may be helpful against Reapers, it's useless against Geth and Cerberus.

That's why my class is the way it is. I've experimented with it a lot, and this is the preferred setup. Everyone has their preferences I guess, mine just isn't liked by many. ;)
