As for other promotional items such as the Collector Rifle. I can see things like this being released in the future. If I remember correctly, the Indra Sniper Rifle was also a promotional weapon in the beginning as well.

Yeah sarcastic, i bought the game for £40 bad enough the ....... wont work, im glad people have him now, but I feel a bit peed because i bought the game for the guy, wont be buying anymore EA crap thats for sure.

This explains that match today! I saw some dude with it, and since I am on PS3, I was super shocked, that in the next match, I died twice in the first wave (the soldier left, but the shock lasted that long).

Now, give the Collector Rifle! It will give me another shock, since PS3 doesn't have them!

1. You didn't have to have limited edition of bf3 to get it, just a bf3 multiplayer account.

2. What, you think they're not going to do that with the Collector Assault Rifle as soon as the Omega DLC comes out? You think they didn't do that with The Argus and other pre-order bonus weapons in the firefight pack? It happens, man. The idea is that you get it early, not that you are the only one to get it.

Just wondering is his stats a bit different in comparison to the regular soldier? Meaning can he take more hits and heal quicker and stuff like that?

Pretty sure that stats wise he's identical to the Human Soldiers.
The only differences are Carnage instead of CS, and no appearance options.

I know have have BF3 soldier, I don't have battle field 3. so No., Don't really want Battlefield 3 either.

Hate to sound ungrateful but this is kind of a bummer for me-- it's just one more thing I'm now more likely to get in PS packs than the Harrier upgrades that I really want :-/

Because i dont have the collector assault rifle the image of its weapon card on my multiplayer manifest is obscured but the color of the card looks golden so that would mean it's a rare type.

Just got my BF3 soldier. The card said "fully customizable," yet no options. I got on here wondering if maybe my game was bugged. Guess not.

I assume that's just the default card text.
