What is the glow on this guy? On the BF3 box cover, I can't figure out what it is either. All the lights are behind him.

it also has a higher encumbrance ratio than a normal soldier by I think 10% more he can roll too so he's diffrent enterily cause of that 1 power swap and encumbrance change meaning he can handle bigger weapons and acitvate adrenalin rush more often as well and his carnage is decent along with he does not have that bad trait a krogan has plus most krogan never take carnage anyways he's the only build that gets away with carnage with decent use if spec right his adrenlin rush will mak ehim a carange tank meaning the adrenlin rush with 1 power use will be similar to stacking powers he can hold a good sum of shotties with 200% recharge on scimitar/piranha/katana/deciple/evicerator and I figure a lvl X Wratih would also be light at 200% recharge too 

otehr words it's a intresting alteration to soldier plus you only need to unlock him once caus eyou can't customize the character at all so no designer colours for him I'm quite pleased with turn of events I already knew how to play him just like my CS soldier but more umph behind the blast cause the CS variant can only blast 1 power in adrenalin mode so I rarly used it now instead I could possibly move AR on the CS soldier to frag as it's a power use class not a full gunnery unlike my female soldier whom uses frag/AR

edit (not revision of text I'm too lazy) PS3 user never had BF3 soldier so this is a bonus for them they finnaly get to play it and now you don't have to get another game to complete all the character collection

the last of the near improbable to achieve articles is

Collector rifle (this will be a rare but in the mean time we should wait it's still in the expensive hand of razor stuff so keep patient ppl arn't goign to fork 700$ for a lvl 7 item in a game unless they are rich or are just flippin idiots a good sum of people don't even know of it existance too outside of BSN mostly)

the Valkryie Rifle (we can wait)

the Raider (we can wait)

Blood Pack Punisher (I bet this will be UR)

Adas Anti-Synthetic (we can wait I bet this will be rare)
thank goodness the argus came to us cause that means it also gets "adjusted" any gun being adjusted in MP also adjsuts in SP cause they share the same gun stat file so any changes to the MP goes to SP

Actually, I find having the 3 human soliders to be rather a good thing. That way you can run the BF3 one as a Carnage Soldier, one of the basic humans as a Grenade Soldier and one as a CS Soldier.

Different play styles for each.

I tend to run my BF3 with high defense in Adren, with the Power Usage at Rank 6.

Also a note for those thinking they need a save file or to own BF3 to get this:

I rented BF3, bought the 10 dollar mutliplayer pass and was able to unlock it just the same.  Never touched the single player so I don't actually have a save file.  All you need is the pass and a record of the game being played on your system.

Thank you, Chris.  I didn't know about it and unlocked BF Soldier over the weekend.  What a pleasant surprise!

I think I must have gone wrong somewhere. I bought BF3 on release day and bought ME3 on release day and yet still don't have the Battlefield Soldier

Chris so are we no longer able to unlock this multiplayer soldier from BF3?  I'm asking because I've got BF3 and ME3 on both Xbox and PS3 (just bought the PS3 version) and I've had the BF3 soldier on Xbox since launch but the BF3 soldier on PS3 won't unlock now after it was put into general circulation.

The glow is that he's "on fire".  If you look at the BF3 cover you will see a soldier who is smoking as he walks and it's suppossed to look like he's on fire.  BTW this soldier is not customizable regarding lights or colors.
