Ya'know, I play Warhammer 40k series. They airdate a new rulebook (codex) every 3 or 4 months.

They ALWAYS say that the things are fake. Who can blame them?

It still doesn't mean anything. I wouldn't be surprised if the name of the next multiplayer DLC was the only thing correct on that list. Although, the entire thing wasn't obviously made up.

No, nobody could have guessed it. Perhaps some developer got drunk and said the name of the next multiplayer DLC to a guy in a pub who then made up everything else and released the list.

So people can say "I told you so" if any part of the rumour becomes even the least bit true. That way, the next time a rumour crops up, they can say "the rumour was totally true last time, so this one must also be true!"

Never mind that rumours are all different and come from different sources. The veracity of a given rumour is not dependent on the veracity of previous rumours, and the veracity of a given rumour is not indicative of the veracity of future rumours.

In defence of the folks who disbelieve Chris when he denies these things he has shot himself in the foot where that is concerned by repeatedly denying rumoured content is real that later is announced as completely real.

I seem to recall him denying the existance of the Omega DLC which has since been announced.

It's mostly because he has a tendancy to talk in absolutes when he posts.

Your yourself when you worked for Bioware I noticed tended to preface things with something along the lines of "as far as we know this isnt true." before locking the thread.
Chris by contrast as far as I can remember usually says "Nope not real." and then "LOCKDOWN"

So yeh.

It isn't a surprise people go "Yeh you said that before and you was wrong. Lol."

It aint very nice. But he don't really help himself on that front.

There are some dlcs that require other dlc for some games. The walking dead game for example. Also if its free then Microsoft probably doesn't care.

We already know there will be a Citadel DLC as dataminers discovered it in Leviathan files. This is how the Omega DLC was leaked. What else could Citadel DLC possibly be that would be worth 800 microsoft points unless its the "Guardian" DLC named on that list?

I think that was a different multiplayer DLC

Chris has a pattern of things he denies turning out to be true. The one that sticks out in my mind is Legion, who was categorically denied as a squadmate before release of Mass Effect 2.

That's not to say that this is all true, just that Chris' denial doesn't mean much one way or another.

Personally, I think this information is not so much false as outdated with an inaccurate timeline and possibly containing DLC that has since been scrapped.

Make no assumptions and believe nobody, bioware, media and rumor spreaders alike, until anything is officially released. Rumors are often false and Bioware often lies, you can't trust anyone anymore.

Is this all real? Maybe, maybe not. Period. There ya go, enjoy not being sucked into this spiraling hype game anymore. Go play other games and distract yourself from all this nonsense. Spend less time on these forums, its done me a wonder.

The Retaliation DLC was leaked 22 days ago, unlike on clevernoob's site.

Clevernoob's site has the "timeline" at least 11 days after. I wouldn't call this true until something else comes up.
