Windows 7 nvidia 64 bit.

First game constantly crashed at a cut scene, had to restart.

I just beat and got the warden DLC castle and now every time I try to leave the castle I reach the same spot on the overland map (right when I'm about to go to the main road) I get a hard crash to desktop.

EVERY.....SINGLE...TIME

I don't see the point of continuing play if my saved games are going to get randomly corrupted and force me to continually restart from scratch. Looking through the forums, this sems a common problem with the PC version. Hey your game is f*cked, restart, ha ha ha.

HOW is this acceptable to PC users that a game for 70 bucks is so buggy that even at this point, it is randomly unplayable. Should I just give up on PC gaming?

Should also note the first show stopping save cut scene crash was on Vista.

All drivers are current.

I just want to play the game and not worry it will randomly decide to F*ck up my save and force me to restart....

Since all you seem to want to do here is rant, we will just wait until you are ready to seek assistance to make any attempted diagnoses. When you decide you are ready, then you can include the needed data on the hardware, the drivers, and the OS.

yeah this is all my fault. I should expect my games to be unplayable. I should send EA a thank you card because gosh its hard to make a working game and its ok that the PC version has a ton of desktop crashes/corrupted save games etc.

Windows 7 64 bit
NVIDIA GeForce 7950 GX2 - drivers version 2.8.254.08

You say that your first crash scene was on Vista. Did you start completly over when you installed or upgraded to Window 7. Also have you tried running under admin, that may or may not help. Also if I read it right your video card is above the min but below the recommeded, so depending on your settings it may cause things to crash. Try running the nhacer program for nvidia cards, that can allow you to tweak things for performance or quality. You might try posting the full specs of your pc to allow others more information to assist you. I haven't had any crashes or hang ups, here are the specs for my machine.

Asus M4N82 Deluxe

Windows 7 64 bit pro.

Amd 965 3.4 ghz quad core

6 gb ddr2 ram

2 MSI Nvidia 285 gtx (1gb each)

1.5 TB Hdd

I figured out the issue. I bought the game through steam, and did a file check and 52 files were corrupted for some reason. I did the steam file integerty check and fix and that cleared up the crashing issue finally.

Not sure how the files got corrupt....
