no but really, I think he's a mascot character to the franchise...either that or Final Villain.

Seriously , a bit of back story could be nice ,i think there was some hint that he was the son of a noble dwarf and elf (not sure) that got lost in the deep road somehow.
But I like Sandal as he is , innocent and joyful .
The other day i was thinking of Bodahn talking about getting old and I was like "oh , I hope they won't ever kill Bodahn..."
The idea of Sandal losing his father and being truly sad ...I'm pretty sure i would cry.

When that day happens, many people will cry hard for Bodahn's passing then have a Roar Ramage of Revnage on Unforunate Darkspawn to vent our grief for our fallen friend.

We'll see Sandal in DA3, or I'm a bearded gnome.

Considering that at the end of DA2, Bodahn mentions that Sandal got a job offer in Orlais, so they plan on moving there.... yeah.

Ugh, I cringed when Bodhan said that as I knew it meant "Hey yo, my creepy son will haunt you in DA3 too!"...
I just hope I don't have him living in my PC's house again.

You're forgetting something very important: More dwarves means more better. So bring 'em on, I say!

I don't get the attraction, but I assume Sandal will make an appearance.
just because you don't get the attraction to short mildly(?) retarded overpowered dwarves with hearts of gold doesn't mean the rest of us have to suffer because of your biases!

Sandal should have his own town called Sandalwood.
Incense everywhere, all the time.
As long as there is a fat surley dwarven barkeep named Swearenger, who spends his days ranting insanely about the depravitites of humanity, while getting BJ's from overweight prostitutes. There can be incense too though.
