Sandal was cute and funny in the first game, he was forced in the second one and I certainly hope he doesn't come back for a third go.

Sandal companion to fill in for male dwarf type (replacing Varric/Oghran) which would be caster, support and shy (runestones and spells). Combined with a dwarf female extroverted warrior, fancies Sandal for uncomfortable banter between the two as companions.

As I read this thread, I'm a little shocked anyone who played DA2 is hoping for Sandals absence in DA3.
He's going to be in the game. It's done. There's nothing anyone can say or hope for that's going to change that. Resistance is futile.
And Sandal is ENCHANTMENT!
