Does anyone have Shale as a party member, 'cos i can't get her..



'Cos of that man you get the Golem Control Rod off, don't seem to ''Mark'' the place where you find Shale

What exactly are you having trouble with?



If I remember correctly, you have to travel to the gold square on the map (forgot what the place is called) and that will tell you to go to the town that Shale presides in.

Well i just tried to exit and then enter again and that did the trick

Honnleath, bottom left hand corner of the map.

Once you are in Honnleath, go into the hut on the northeast corner of the square and travel through the basement. You will kill things, meet a man who wants you to save his daughter. Keep going, solve the puzzle, and save the girl from the evil kitty and he will tell you the "code word" to activate the female Shale.

Shale is fantastic. The writing is awesome, and I hope that she rids Ferelden of flying darkspawn. Really, Shale has to be one of the best dialoguers in the game. And for your added enjoyment, have her, morrigan and zevran in a party. Hilarity ensues, and fun times had by all.

I wanted a romance option for Shale. She was everything I wished Morrigan would have been. That and the cut scene would have been epic, Shale's on top, oh no! She just crushed the Grey Warden!

Ah it's so epic to talk with her about all those girlish things after you find out she's a she. "Are we going to fight over the same men now?"

Anyone ever try focusing on the 'support' tree? I experimented a bit, but I think the buffs you get need to be far better for basically sacrificing a party member.



Her other trees seem really nice. Especially if you take the time to shift from stances in combat. Can get really tactical with her.

No I usually keep her as tank. Other trees like dps and ranged can be covered by the rest of the party members.

I actually... never really have her around... maybe I should try that. But either I'm tanking myself or stick to Al because he's so... cute in his armor... *melts away*

What is the armour that your avatar is wearing? (The red-edged stuff)

Got it from a mod. But the second drake scale armor from wade (for females) has the same appearance (different colours though. And I guess it's part of the 1.02 patch.)

Thanks, I'll have a look around. It sorta looks like the stuff Leliana is wearing in the Sacred Ashes trailer. Well, colour-wise anyway.

That's why the guy made it look like that I guess. It's a mod where he tries to make certain npc's look more like in that trailer
