Transitional combat animations, and single class talent combos.

Is it  possilble for any future DA title to incorporate a combat system that allows melee fighters to string together weapon talents, and a corresponding animation would play between the activated talents to make the combo look seamless? This has nothing to do with the generic auto attack being used before/after an activated talent, or a haste induced talent splurge.

Combo example: 2 handed warrior SCTC sequence(no cooldown times, or their relations to CCC are included for simplicity.)

1. Talent A - A left shoulder charge (knocks the warrior mook off balance)

2. transitional animation - right foot forward

3. Talent B - A two handed pummel bash with the right hand near the cross-guard, and the left below it.(Sends the mook sprawling)

4. transitional animation - left foot forward then switch to...

5. Talent C - a right forward stepping overhead slash with the hand placement being similar to Talent B.(profit)

For clarification, the animations would only play when a compatible talent is activated after the initial talent.
Would this be a good addition to melee combat? If so, Is this possible or is it too resource/time consuming? Discuss...

Sounds like it'd be too much work for a little aesthetic detail. Probably not worth it.

I suppose so, given that the dev team is working with a new engine, but still...

If I understand your post to be what I think it means(some sort've of logical reaction melee combo, punch to face=face moves back and staggering back a bit) I'm inclined to agree that it would seem very difficult to accomplish.

If I understand your post to be what I think it means(some sort've of logical reaction melee combo, punch to face=face moves back and staggering back a bit) I'm inclined to agree that it would seem very difficult to accomplish.

In a nutshell it's about the addition of a SCTC feature plus movement animations between talents, so that they look more fluid rather than static.
