I rather liked Oghren. The combination of crude humor and good-heart is one I've always liked.

He caught a lot of flack for being the only Origin companion to be a companion in Awakening though.

Oghren still has my absolute favorite "farewell" speech at the end of DA:O. "Let's show them our hearts, then show them theirs!" It's funny because to get that line you need to have not finished all of his personal quests.

He won me over with the whole baby mama drama/child support/running from responsibility angle he had in Awakening.

He had a good arc, especially into Awakening. I wouldn't mind a cameo, but I don't want him as a follower.

Oghren turned into a nasty, unfunny drunk in Awakening. I went from liking him well enough in DA:O to wishing I could exchange him for Mhairi very quickly. I would much rather meet new characters, or have Varric or Sigrun, if we need dwarf representation in the party.

I don't care if he's a companion again or not, but I definitely want to find out what happened to him. And maybe have a drinking contest with him while trying to get him to give us info?

If he returns in any way, I hope its very mildly. I liked him, but Awakenings soured me on seeing him for an extended period of time.

Still wish I could've gone back and replaced him with Mhairi.

He had a surprising amount of depth for your standard drunken axe-wielding dwarf.

Oghren was one of my favorite characters in both DA:O and Awakening. I'm interested to find out what he has been up to in the wardens and what happened to his son.

Oghren was cool but...Steve Blum is where its at, I would find an entire game where all voices are done by him HILARIOUS

I'd imagine Oghren would say something stereotypically dwarfy, and Varric would punch him in the face/shoot him with Bianca.

The less of either of them, the better.

Personally I enjoyed his character in Awakening, because it showed that his problems weren't magically fixed by the Warden in Origins.  You could hook him up with Felsi and help him get over Branka, and he could find a position of respect in the army by the end of DA:O... but you see in Awakening that it wasn't good enough, because problems like depression, intense self-loathing, and alcoholism aren't easy fixes.  It was a depressing lesson, but I really liked it.

That said, though, I don't particularly care about seeing any of them again.  I think we all know well enough how their stories ended.

The Oghren cameo has to happen in the Deep Roads, where he is both naked and drunk out of his mind. He will then be riding a gorilla into combat against the Darkspawn while wielding his trusty battleaxe The Darkspawn Ravager.

Indeed. Taking him to the Gauntlet is always one of my favorite things about his story. And his final speech to the Warden, no matter where you are in his personal story, is always great.

Either his remark about showing the Darkspawn the group's hearts, and then the Darkspawn's very own hearts or letting the Stone run red with the blood of heroes.

He's a drunk, crude, and savage Blood Knight. But he's one of the nicest people with a true heart of gold that you'll ever find.
