There are no appearance options for the BF3 soldiers, just the one, which can't be changed or unlocked further.

Now you have to actually make a decision when taking the Carnifex. Before it was a no-brainer...
Except most don't use it after getting a UR pistol. Really, only starter players tend to use the carnifex.

I wouldn't really call a rare gun a "starter players" gun. The Predator und Phalanx fit that role.

Paladin Pistol
- Encumbrance decreased from [1.25-0.7] to [1.0-0.7]
Talon Pistol
- Encumbrance decreased from [1.1-0.6] to [0.9-0.6]
Carnifex Pistol
- Encumbrance increased from [1.0-0.5] to [1.2-0.7]
See?? the numbers go from high to low like that what is stated for the pattern of the high to low encumbrance decrease.
I like the buffs however, are not virtually all grenade powers now about equal for damage except the lift and sticky?

I like all the changes but the ones to the Carnifax and the Piranha. The Piranha was not overwhelming after the last nerf, now it is almost not worth using. The Carnifax was already fairly heavy for most characters that would use it, not they probably can not and will opt for the bigger guns, paladin and talon instead. Yet if the Carnifax is heavier why did the buff say increased yet showed the numbers in the same fashion that the Paldin and Talon showed for a increase?
Paladin Pistol
- Encumbrance decreased from [1.25-0.7] to [1.0-0.7]
Talon Pistol
- Encumbrance decreased from [1.1-0.6] to [0.9-0.6]
Carnifex Pistol
- Encumbrance increased from [1.0-0.5] to [1.2-0.7]

You're misreading it. The first number indicates the encumbrance on level I, say 1.0 for the Paladin now and the last for the gun at level X (0.7 for the Paladin, just like before the buff). So the UR guns only gut buffed on lower levels.

I was afraid of this, and sadly it became true. The Disciple, scimitar, and other such light shotguns weren't buffed. I'll still likely use the pirahna thanks to it being a light shotgun that -works- against what I point it at without using every bonus gear in the book.
But, as to not sound totally like an ingrate, I do appreciate the buffs, especially to the Eagle, among them. I'll give it a spin some time soon on my shadow.

But it says increased. And I am talking about the ones for the Carnifax. They are shown the same. So if it is a encumbrance increase should it not say
Carnifex Pistol
- Encumbrance increased from [0.5 - 1.0] to [0.7- 1.2 ]
rather than
Carnifex Pistol
- Encumbrance increased from [1.0-0.5] to [1.2-0.7]
Compare to the way the paladin is listed:
Paladin Pistol
- Encumbrance decreased from [1.25-0.7] to [1.0-0.7]
Notice the word decreased is the same as the way it is listed as increased for the Carnifax above. Yet both are listed with a lower number first followed then by a higher number. If one is increased should it not be listed differently then something listed as decreased?

Compared to UR? It's not all difficult to get. That's the best weapon starter (caster) players have, and, yes, I only see it being used by new players on silver.

[1.25-0.7] means at level 1 it is 1.25, at level 10 it is 0.7.
[1.25-0.7] to [1.0-0.7] means that previously it was
[1.25-0.7] (see above) and after balance changes it is
[1.0-0.7]

The encumbrance, meaning weight of the Carnifex was increased from a starting encumbrance of 1.0 on level 1 to a starting encumbrance of 1.2. Same with level X - encumbrance before was 0.5, now it is 0.7 - each bracket is the encumbrance-range (for level 1 - X) before and after the change.

Agree with Siran. You have to put in 50+ hours to have a reliable chance to get it to level 10. Even just unlocking it at level 1 can take a while. That isn't a starter weapon.llandwynwyn wrote...

Weight at I ^ ^ Weight at X
Meaning, the carnifex now weighs a ton at lower levels, and as much as a paladin at heigher levels

Then those must be lucky, it took me quite a while to get it to a decent level. It should be even more complicated now with so many more rares to unlock. You have to have played quite the amount of games to level it high, especially to X. You're in no way a "beginner" or "starter" once you have a rare gun at X.

What. It still had the best DPS in the game after the last nerf. Now it's sustained DPS isn't that much effected. You reload more often, but you empty your clip quicker.Xeraphas wrote...

The store isn't the say as it was before. Yes, there are more stuff, but it's much easier to get rares. And I never said 'at level X'.
If you only have the Carnifex at a low level, chances are you won't even have an UR heavy pistol as an alternative.
