In fact, that seems like an excellent time for the Qunari to seize land.

Wasn't it stated that Qunari do not promote and that Arishoks are chosen at young age? How can Sten be an Arishok now?

Apparently, Sten is the new Arishok. Any chance he might appear in the new game? I assume the Qunari won't be sitting idle while Thedas engages in a civil war.

It is on the cards. Maybe Arishok will have some semblance of sentimentality towards humans after his warden escapades.
A slight chance for diplomacy, woo!

Not sure if my PC will want to have a chat with the guy though. If you don't know him, then he'd just be another damn Qunari, and the old Arishok's actions would count against him
It's possible, but then he might just respect the Warden, not humans or elfs, in DA2 The Arishok only respected hawke because she proved to him she was storng despite being a mage and female, but judging from his distaste towards the other humans in the hall, how he killed the Viscount and his plans for Isabela, it shows he just had respect for Hawke, not humans.Herr Uhl wrote...

Wait? The Sten, we all know and love from DAO is the new Arishok? I thought he was just in the line(being a Sten and all), but not the next in line.
Intresting.I could just picture his reaction waiting for the Arishok to return to give him the report while he was eating cookies. The Ethereal Writer Redux wrote...

Nope. He got promoted to Arishok in Those Who Speak. Incidentally, I had been calling it for many, many months now -- though I'm fairly certain Bioware had thought of it first before I did.

Quest for DA3 revealed! Get cookies for the Arishok.mayrabgood wrote...
I'd like to see him again. I want to see him eat some cookies too.
Really, I'm far more intrested in the Qunari and the possible invasion more then the whole Templar/Mage thing. The Qun and Kossith are extreamly well written.megamacka wrote...
Hmmm silly. And here I thought that I killed Sten multiple times all over in DA2.
Not but srlsy. Id like to see LOTS more of the Qunari. They are one of my favorite races in fantasy.
