What topics are there with currently, unexplained aspects that are just too big to resolve in one game?
Are there any?
DA3:I is supposedly not going to be the last one, so there's time enough for answers in the future at this point. Which answers do you think will take that long to explain?
What questions should *not* have a definitive answer in DA3:I?

This is a good question, but I don't think anything is off the table, since there is a scope of an entire game, of which we know very little about. I think it will be more about which mysteries people don't want solved, rather than which can't fit.
I also don't think most mysteries will be resolved in DA3. I think there is a lot left untouched in the lore, like ancient elves, ancient dwarves, the fade and even more darkspawn secrets. Really, I think the only things we can count on being fully resolved are the more immediate arcs, like the brewing war between mages and the Chantry, and given the end of DA2, even that is not guaranteed to be resolved.
Mystery and resolution have to be balanced very delicately. I think the Assassin's Creed franchise does this very well. They will provide a lot of answers and revelations, while simultaneously presenting the player with new mysteries and puzzles for the series to continue with. I don't necessarily care which content is revealed and which is shrouded in mystery, as long as I get a good mixture of both.

These three all seem tied together, in my opinion. I think all of it could be done in one game ... but not this game. Save it for Dragon Age IV.

Is the Maker (or any of the gods) real?

I think that avoding giving them a defninitive end would be best, as it would give players room to imagine their own endings for their player characters.

Every question raised should have an answer given in balance.
I don't want to find out if the maker exists, or if Andraste spoke to him. Everything else is up for grabs.

From Gaider's words on an earlier thread, I get we won't get full 100% definitive closure on any plot, on any bioware game, ever. He seems to imply he prefers stories with more cliffhangers than definite answers by default, and that isn't going to change anytime soon.

For me it's because I don't want a repeat of the Leliana drama.TheJediSaint wrote...

Old God Baby and Flemeth. The main point of DA3 seems to be Templar/Mage/Chantry and the fallout from that. I think OGB and Flemeth deserve to be the MAIN POINT of their own game in the future.
