No, she's a bard working for the divine tho it's not inconceivable that she could become an inquisitor somewhere down the line given her knowledge of political intrigue and spy-work.

I wanna know why people think the next protagonist will be a "Inquisitor" at all.

Inquisition was the old name of the Templars, which they'll be resuming now that they are separated from the Chantry.

Leliana is an agent of the Chantry. She wouldn't help the Templars. As she is Divine Justinia's left hand.

I want to know why you believe the templars will be resuming the name.

We've got the other info from a leak, but we didn't get info about the templars.

Because if there's one thing Leliana is about, it's healthy relationships.

When you state supposition as fact, it's even cuter when you're wrong.

No she's a secret agent. You know this from the way she tells us her name and spy code name in Kirkwall. Because no one can keep secrets like a Bard.

She may not know where the Warden is, but she knows exactly where all their eyelashes are.

Indeed. The Jar holds all secrets.

I like to think she doesn't know where my Warden is because of the restraining order he placed on her.

Is this confirmed that the new PC will be an Inquisitor? Because if so, it seems like the railroading the PC into a specific faction happens to early. Do not want ;(

Also, Leliana is just working for Justinia as a personal favor. I don't think she has any particular opinion on the mage/templar war. Depends on who the Warden was in Origins, I guess.

No matter what she is, I'll be decapitating her again if I have the chance.

Not at all. Starting out as an Inquisitor, doesn't that mean the PC is pro-Templar from the get go?

Thats only if you operate under the assumption that:
1.The Chantry is running this new Incarnation of the Inquisition,
2. The Templar-Mage conflict is the heart of what the player has to deal with.

The impression I've gotten (if we're to believe the rumormill) is that the Inquisition is being recreated to deal with some bigger thing at work, and that the player gets to run this new incarnation as he sees fit.

Exactly my thoughts.

A bit of focus is a good thing...all games have railroading, Origins railroaded you into the wardens, ME1 into specters, ME 2 into Cerberus. DA2 lacked focus but still railroaded you into the deep roads and other things to progress the story. Its not railroading people hate, its only when they feel the option they are being forced into is a bad idea (Like Cerberus)
