In The Darkspawn Chronicles DLC Herren transforms into a Desire Demon and transports them away to safety. I like to think that he's actually an apostate/abomination and that this is what actually happened in Awakening and they therefore survived the attack on Vigil's Keep. It could be an awesome subplot in DA3 and would fit right in with the mage/templar conflict although it would certainly be a very DA2ish sort of quest.

I remember someone saying though that you could find wades body nearbye. So it makes me think a desire demon was praying on Herren's emotional turmoil right after his love died

David Gaidar has said Herren being a desire demon is non-canon, just like the rest of darkspawn chronicles.

Wait - who was the apostate, Wade or Herren?
I always assumed the Wade was the one who dealt with a desire demon, and she (or rather, 'it') took on the form he'd find appealing - Herren. Though... does Wade find that VOICE appealing? Because seriously, for me, Wade was adorable, but Herren was annoying.

I like those two a lot, but i'm really hoping they don't show up. Having the same set of characters present at every corner of the world quickly makes that world feel like some small street of a tiny town rather than actual world. And that's pretty much the opposite of what they're aiming at with DA3, if i get it right.

For that matter it'd be great if Sandal and Bodahn never showed up again, too.

But Isabela does not wear armor. Wade would not like this. He would constantly be trying to make her full cover armor and be so dissapointed when she won't wear it

God yes. They were interesting, fun characters, and their fetch quests were the kind of fetch quests we need, not the generic pouch of pebbles type we had in DA2.

I was disappointed they where't in DA2. I really liked made Wade happy and Herren annoied. And I loved all the cute gears that gave me.

They need to return. whit Sandal, of course.

Herren's voice has a special place in my heart   His VA, Cam Clarke, was the original VA for Liquid Snake in MGS1, and whenever Herren speaks a part of me always hears "BROTHER!"

I support his return along with Wade and Herren returning.
