What do you want out of DA3's Armor? And for those thinking about it, inb4 bikini armor.

Is it just me, or would the game be slightly more roleplay-like if equipment and items and loot had common sense? In my opinion, you should be able to loot every sword, every boot and every cap that an enemy has on him or loot a model's armor. If there's a fully-armored knight taking a dirt nap with his face imbedded in the floor, you should be able to loot an entire seat of massive armor right? Alot of single-piece items should have an entire set (I'm looking at you Golem Shell armor).  Next, you should always be able to loot "random" items from certain enemies; you should always get the Warden Commander Armor if you want to, right? I think so. Finally, some items just don't make sense in certain containers. You shouldn't find an intact helmet inside a dragon; you should find it in a treasure pile correct? It's only befitting a dragon.

Less dresses and more armour for mages. A robe won't protect much from a sword.

I want at least some plating on the unflexible parts of the the body. Seeing how it's total war between the mages and templar, I'd like to see some of them wearing some breastplates, some light pauldrons, and maybe flauds

I agree completely; since mages will technically be outlaws hiding from the Templars now, I'm hoping that Mage armor will be more inconspicuous and... rugged-traveler looking, I guess, because Mage robes would give their identities away and wouldn't do much good in the wilderness. That's my personal opinion anyway :)

Maybe this is a differnet topic, but it always bothered me that the mage class could specialize as battle mage, but not have any training in swords.  I'd love to see dual class option for a mage/warrior etc.  This could justify the need for mage armor.  Also, some light armor could be worn by mages in DA:O the option to do so again would be great..

This. Less silly robes, something more along the lines of what Mage Hawke wore at the beginning of the game. No silly dresses that look ugly on everybody.

I would like all companions to have the option of wearing practical armor.

Fewer pointy edges for the sake of pointy edges(I'm looking at you, warrior Champion armor) and designed more for utility. They don't have to be boring and identical, but plenty of armors in the games blur the line between utility and aesthetics to great effect. Ancient Elven armor, Juggernaut armor, Armor of the Sentinel, etc.
