First off I'm going to ask that everyone keep this clean and civil.  I am hoping that Eric and the Gang will come here and shed some light on what they've been working on, even if its just tidbits (hopefully more).

So, Eric, we don't want for you to go over the line but would really like a peek at what you guys are doing, even with the understanding that something could change before its all finished.  Also keep in mind that you guys can always ask the community about certain aspects you are considering but are too close to make the call.  Perhaps an opinion from a single poster would sway just one of you, and you'd have the combo you love.


My first question would be, are there plans to change the casting animation to something like the instant cast of Reave?  IMO, this type of cast would fit in more within our current understanding of theoretical physics, the lore of the ME Universe and from a visual standpoint would be completely badass! 

Second question is that if you make Singularity able to pull health, strip & prime shields and prime armor (all of which would make biotic power worthy of the name), would you then place the CDT closer to or even higher than Stasis?  I could get behind that because ultra powerful powers shouldn't be spammable unless they leave you horribly defenseless. 


Lastly, I'd like to thank the guys at BioWare for leaking this small information because it really does raise the spirits of those of us that are here for the long haul.  I find it exciting you are taking the time make drastic improvements to signature powers but I find it even more exciting you are willing to give us sneak peeks.  Not to be greedy, but we all want more peeks!

Yes, definitely great news. I already like singularity but this will make it so much more viable on higher difficulties.

Never thought the cast animation was a problem, but improving it's ability to dish out AOE damage and prime explosions will be a HUGE improvement! I'm curious what they're going to do with its evolutions.

It already kind of does that, and that's what kind of makes it work...  but it's like a weird secondary effect right now.

Don't get too excited...
It won't be happening untill they patch the game.
And tbh, if players keep dropping like they do, I find it hard to see them doing it anytime soon if at all...

 ive seen credible posters here in the last few days prove with stats that player base isnt dropping at all, this is still the 16th most played mp game on xbox live.
don't ask me to pull it up because i dont remember which thread it was.

I think that would require a ton of programming but I would love to see an Atlas with, lets say 2 bars of armor left, be affected by a Singularity.  Could do same with all the armored enemies.  Like a Ravager spinning in the center, but just firing random blasts of its cannon!

I'm ridiculously excited by this. Honestly, all the change they would need to do is replace the "does DOT" evolution to an "applies a warp effect" evolution.

ETA: although it'd be pretty nice if they could also change the detonate evolution to, you know, something useful. If your singularity lasts long enough to detonate, you aren't using it correctly.

They should also introduce a new adept sometime with Singularity with about 5 metre radius or more. It would be like how Quarian Male Arc Grenades were different from Demolisher Arc Grenades, but more so. Who else missed the giant singularities from ME1?

I don´t think,they will make it so powerfull to hurl an Atlas,Prime or Banshee,although it would be hillarious

Love it. Hopefully it does respectable damage to any enemy foolish enough to get near the event horizon, armor or not.

Me, too. I'm hoping for a ROF buff. Hell, if it's ONLY a ROF buff, I'll be happy.

I'm wondering if they'll make one of the specs go through shields, like Stasis and Lash, because Singularity not going through shields makes it only useful on very light enemies.

At the moment I skip singularity on all characters, regular human adept can get the same effect with lifting shockwave and ex Cerb adept doesn't need it with lash and smash.

If I were to change it I would increase radius and allow it to affect shields. Also, I don't notice either of rank 6 evolutions actually doing anything useful, so those doing something better would be good too.

Yeah, I just unlocked the wraith a few hours ago and was surprised at how good it was. Nice to hear it's gonna get even better :P

Yeah, I just unlocked the wraith a few hours ago and was surprised at how good it was. Nice to hear it's gonna get even better :P

 hipfire headshots, man. never thought id get 20 headshot medal with a shotgun, but it happens.
actually use almost all my headshot mods on this weapon... mostly since i used most of my shotgun amps up.

I'm betting... produces a Biotic Sphere/Annihilation Field type effect at range? But maybe it ends after a single detonation, so you can't leave it up for multiples like the other powers?

Ahhhhh!!! I'm so curious.
