And with the delay between the MP DLC, I'm guessing the DLC is coming to an end as well. Not to mention releasing a couple preorder bonuses within two weeks. Of course I can only speculate on this, but it seems the cycle is coming to an end.
On the other hand, BW said they had plans for SP DLC for the next 6 months or so. Which could easily mean that MP support would continue since the halves of the game(MP and SP) support each other to an extent.

Played a match yesterday, U/U/G and I thought I'd whip out the Cerberus Adept for a change. Seeing as how we had an Drell Adept using cluster bombing, the new N7 Adept, and an N7 Slayer I wasn't expecting much, but it really actually worked quite well.
Slayer used phase disruptor to take down shields, I throw a singularity, slayers detontes with charge, I follow up with smash.
Ended up we all scored around the same.

Wow, that sounds almost like ME1's singularity! You guys sure work fast, taking only five years to make get back to where you started from! The change will make singularity a decent damage dealing power with the ability to set up biotic combos, even on shielded enemies.
Edit to clarify: If you don't get it, ME3's dumbed down biotics are a massive step back. Instead of having to use intelligent combos everything just goes boom. Pull+throw to fling mooks off skyscrapers is much more fun. In ME2, bshieldsblockpowers worked, in ME3 they broke it. So excuse me for not being overly exciting for them fixing something that worked fine in ME2 which they broke for ME3.

Enter the acolyte pistol - singularity is now awesome again
Throw Singularity at Phantom. Watch as she pulls up her barrier hand. Fire Acolye into her face. Laugh as she cloaks and is yanked into a biotic black hole. Detonate with Shockwave. Dance on her corpse. Repeat for all enemies.
In my opinion, the Acolyte gave Singularity its buff. I don't think it needs a real buff, I just think more people should use it with the Acolyte. Human Adept speced 6-6-6-4-4 with Acolyte and Hurricane can do some serious damage. Singularity unshielded froobs, Acolyte + Singularity + detonate shielded mobs, Warp+Shockwave+Hurricane bosses. Very, very capable Unknown/Unknown/Gold class. Do not skip out on Singularity, at least on the human adept. I think the Ex-Cerberus Singularity is largely useless, Lash goes through barriers so all you need is a staggering weapon to make it effective. I would like to see that changed to another biotic ability like Reave, Dark Channel, maybe even Lift/Cluster grenades.
Tl;dr - Acolyte + Singularity = buffed.

But surely a power shouldn't depend on a weapon to make it viable? Singularity doesn't stack well with differing difficulty levels as there are far fewer targets it can reliably affect the higher up the difficulty levels you go. On Bronze it's fine, as there are plenty of mooks. On gold, you may as well not bother after the first wave or two.

No. That may be your opinion, but I suspect you're in a minority.
Imagine how useless biotics would be if they only affected ragdolled, unshielded and unarmored enemies. Wave 10 on reaper gold? I hope you enjoy pulling that marauder around. Hopefully he'll be close to one of the 2 banshees, 3 brutes or 2 ravagers.

I for one, like some other people who have posted, found Singularity to be an essential power in all 3 ME games in single player, often building characters and loadouts to suit that power because it could be so good. I think it currently has the same potential in multiplayer as well; the problem is with team work. I can't always rely on finding a team that is willing to work with me, so why bother speccing into Singularity then? Also, there are a few abilities that do massive damage to targets suspended in air (via Pull or Shockwave evo 6 or whatever) like Cluster Grenades. The problem is that enemies are only lifted if they have no shields/barriers.By the time they have no shields or barriers it's not even worth that extra damage because they die so fast already with only their red health bar to save them... even in gold.

Don't get too excited...
It won't be happening untill they patch the game.
And tbh, if players keep dropping like they do, I find it hard to see them doing it anytime soon if at all...
Not sure it would have to be in a patch. If all powers have the same base class that they are accessing stats with through balance changes then it could be done in a balance change.

I want Singularity to rip a hole in the map that allows you to enter another map/match.
That would be wicked!....... Until you drop onto Condor Geth Gold with 3 Primes firing at you.

Eric Fagnan said they tried to make it better through weekly balance changes but still couldn't get it to where they wanted it to be, so they are changing it through a patch. This is the core of the excitement, as it is going to be fundamentally changed, not just changing radius and adding a few points of damage to DoT.

Yeah, the two ways I could see to really make Singularity shine would be either:Dunvi wrote...
I'm ridiculously excited by this. Honestly, all the change they would need to do is replace the "does DOT" evolution to an "applies a warp effect" evolution.
ETA: although it'd be pretty nice if they could also change the detonate evolution to, you know, something useful. If your singularity lasts long enough to detonate, you aren't using it correctly.
1) Make it lift shielded enemies (but maybe for a shorter time period). Suck it Rocket Troopers! I would imagine they would need to do something to make shielded Phantoms immune or better able to avoid the effect.
2) Apply a detonatable warp effect within the Singularity field (as you said), which would work something like the Bubble. I would think that this would require a significant cooldown increase. Also, if you made the Singularity work like the Warp Bubble (only one detonation per enemy is allowed, but the detonation doesn't destroy the Singularity), then the Detonate evolution could be awesome. Or they could just change the Detonate evolution to the generic "increase the force and damage of biotic explosions by 50%".

Yes and I'm saying that the ability to pierce through shields may be a property of powers changeable through balance changes just like armor piercing is a property for all guns, it is just 0 for most of them. Shield piercing for powers may just be a true false balance change away.

"Man, Liara is actually going to be an awesome squadmate, not having to put up with all that "henchmen are weak" malarkey, because of combos!"
Because patches tend to apply to the whole game, and not just multiplayer, so with Liara able to prime anything for her Warps, and not just unarmoured enemies, combined with her passive for actually getting decentish recharge times, and you have The Little Death Ball That Could.
She'd still get her blue bottom handed to her by any playable characters, but she'd actually be as strong as that little "omg imma save shepard's nearly-dead body lol" comic implied her to be.
