So this change is confirmed content for the upcoming patch?

Yes.

Would be interesting if you could make it where if you fired a singularity in front of yourself, any missiles fired at you would be deviated because of the singularity.  Think of it as a biotic cousin of the N7 Paladin shield.

I know, right?  Sooo sick of hearing about it.  I'm hear because I love Mass Effect, not because this was just the newest space marine shoots bad aliens game.

I'm still flabbergasted by Drumm's post.  Holy crap.  Does he even have a clue what a gravitational singularity is?

What's sad is that he's usually a pretty respectable poster. If this is what BL2 does to people, I don't like it.

And a gratitudinal singing... that's like... a whirlpool or something, right? *shot*

Wow! That's the first time I have heard that.

I am now happy for a week! ^_^

Yeah, I love Borderlands.

Yeah it is a better game in my opinion.

No there is not much to talk about in a game that has been out for like half a year now, but there is lots to talk about in a game that has only been out for 9 days.

I have been waiting for Borderlands 2 since before it was even announced.

I only even knew about Mass Effect like... 12 hours after the demo came out.

So naturally I get more excited about something I have been waiting forever for than something I just found out about basically.

PS.

If I wanted space marines shooting bad aliens I would get Aliens: Colonial Marines.

I'm not getting it though. So that tells you something.

Would logic not dictate that you should probably post about it on a forum that isn't supposed to be dedicated to the game that came out half a year ago?

(On a side note I have tried the game. Pretty much all my issues with the first are still there, except the game has a story now)

Stopped reading right there.  You're in the wrong forum.

I'm too lazy to make another forum account that I will inevitably not ever use again after 1 week.

I am already on like 15 of them...

Most of them are somewhat related though, this is the only one I go off topic too much on.
(Battlefield 3 discussions on Battlefield Play4Free, Spec Ops the Line discussions on Gears of War forums, etc.)

Because... you know it IS the BSN.

We gotta stay classy and do random stuff.

tl;dr but I assume you asked where the BL2 forum is. Tried googling "borderlands 2 forum"?

TL;DR I saw something about "ass" and "Google" though.

Good luck with that.

Will the singularity buff be restricted to Multiplayer or will single player also have access to this upcoming singularity buff?

They never really change much in single player.

Don't get too hopeful.

Ah, now if only we could get an ETA on this patch, I'd like to actually play it before Halo 4 comes out and ME3 becomes dead to me.

I wish this was a projectile power like prox mine - if it's dodged it should just hit the ground. Also you could choose to aim at a guardians flank or behind it as well as in front.

Since its only possible to have one singularity at a time the duration should be much longer, maybe evolution 6a could be for more duration.

I won't give everything away, but another change we're making is that detonating a biotic combo on someone in a singularity will no longer end the singularity.

In single player and multiplayer or just multiplayer?

Can we just keep it the same size, same positioning but instead of floating objects... Crush them, or do damage to tougher enemies .... You know like a beer can?

Please oh please? Or Replace singularity with Mass-effect Field .. With two evolutions one to give it singularity (Positive energy) causes enemies to float or allies to move faster. Another Evolution (Dark) to create a mini-mass effect black hole fed off of dark matter. eating up passing objects (bullets) troopers nearby..(Basic enemies, nothing more) and draining a portion of life off of larger enemies from the gravity change?

The smaller the target (armored Like guardian) the less the damage.. The Heavier (Atlas, brute, prime) enough danage to make it blink. Moderate cooldown to prevent abuse.

Affects on Phantom barriers, cause them to drain faster due to gravitational changes sapping energy, electric shields likewise. Prevents banshee jumps?

I'm betting... produces a Biotic Sphere/Annihilation Field type effect at range? But maybe it ends after a single detonation, so you can't leave it up for multiples like the other powers?

Ahhhhh!!! I'm so curious.

Sorry to use your post as an example, but do people not read!!!!

In the original post it says that singularity will not end after a detonation, yet your speculation involves it ending after a detonation.

Also, I apologise if your post was not speculation, but something you would find cool. You saying you're curious makes it look like a guess though at what the change could be.

YES!!

I loved the idea of the rank 6 timed explosion evolution, but it never really worked as the singularity always got cancelled by team-mates firing their abilities instead. If this works as I think, you will still have your singularity, which should still blow up when the time is up.

This has always been my major issue with Singularity. Thank god for that. Thank YOU guys in fact.

So singularity will more or less become an AOE warp zone similar to the final evolution of biotic bubble?

Seems so.. Time to don the Cerberus adept again.. Or utilize singularity + shockwave like a boss :)

This is great news indeed.

The only thing that bugs me about Singularity (and has done since ME1) is why the enemies float around it. Surely that is the exact opposite effect of what Singularity should create? It's not creating a number of oddly-placed mass effect fields that interact with each other to keep an enemy floating, but rather a tear in space-time that draws everything towards it.

Why are the enemies within the event horizon not drawn inexorably towards the Singularity? I'm not asking for them to be crushed into oblivion (although that would be awesome) but can't we stop this floaty nonsense and just have them immobile at the epicenter? Perhaps they could 'struggle' to free themselves from the pull of the singularity, walking very slowly outwards, but all this floaty stuff is not only silly from a lore perspective but it also makes headshots harder!

Why do they float around it?  They're orbiting it.  Granted, actually touching a singularity would so intensely murder you that you disappear from pictures like Marty McFly's brother, but for balance reasons we go with the next best thing: orbit.

its ridiculous that it was put out like this in the first placeand that its taken so long to be fixed
