I kind of felt they were a step forwards toward making the consequences of in-game decisions happen in the same game, rather than having to wait to import them into the next.

I liked the concept of the Acts, but felt that the changes in them were not as dramatic as you might have hoped in order to show change... that said the timeframes weren't exactly huge... what was it something like 3 years between Acts?

It wouldn't have been so bad had the acts flowed into eachother better, or were more hashed out. Let's face it, looking at the previews leading up to the game, most people probably thought we would be fighting off a Qunari army as the main plotline. Instead, it's really only 1 chapter, and feels so unfinished after killing only a few dozen Qunari and their (pain in the butt to kill) Arishok. And you have expect to go up against an invading Qunari army for the 3rd arc, but nope, Anders goes all terrorist on you and ignites what will become a massive war throughout Thedas between mages and templars. Very disjointed.
Though the first to second arc wasn't as bad, but it would have been nice to actually have your income increase substantially, you know.

I didnt like acts either it made the story feel disconjointed. Id rather have one long tale like Origins!
