Imo Bioware's sale of this edition hinges on whether they include the DLC.
If they do choose to include everything, I'll be hard pressed not to buy it.

Glad to see PS3 folks will be able to play ME1 now. I'm surprised Microsoft Game Studios went for that.
Yeah how did this happen!?! Lol up to now 100% of people used to say it would never happen on PS3 due to MS having the license to ME1. Did they finally give it up? or was there an expiration to it?
Anyway, as a 360 user who already owns the trilogy. I'm happy for you PS3 folks!
ME1 is an old title, I'd imagine that yes, there was an expiration to it and also, simply because there's little commercial value in restricting such an old title now, especially as it's bundled anyway.
Anyways, who cares, as a PS3 owner, I'm stoked!

The original Mass Effect on the PS3 huh? Like a lot of other people around the webs, I'm curious what sort of arcane black magic was used to get that game to PS3 owners. Thought MS had a tight grip on that one...
Enjoy the full experience PS3 users.

And, nothing for the wiiu?
If ME3 does well for the wiiu then Bioware will most likely consider a trilogy port for the wiiu if they arent working on it already.
It'll never do well on Wii U. Seriously, who gonna buy ME3 on WiI U 60$ knowing that the trilogy is available everywhere else for the same price? Noone.
Most people will wait for the Trilogy to come on Wii U as well. And since ME3 will not sell because of that, the Trilogy might never come on Wii U.
I got the 3 games on PC, I'm gonna buy a Wii U, but never gonna buy ME3 on it even if I'm really interested by the new gameplay. I'll wait for the trilogy because in ME, I think the story is really important & since ME3 is anounced on Wii U, I claim I'll never buy it unless it comes with ME1 & 2.
I don't (really) see the point of making a trilogy on PC, 3 games are available, you can buy ME1+2 for less than 10$... it makes much mor sens to realese the trilogy on Wii U since Nintendo audiance is not familliar with the game.
EA made a ultimate double fail combo there ...

I'm no expert on copyright laws but is it possible Microsoft only had the rights for a certain period of time?
Say, 5 years?
It's possible. I always assumed Microsoft would keep the rights to publish ME1 on home consoles "in perpetuity" just to keep it off of The PS3.

microsoft was just a distributor and distributors do not have the distribution rights to a product, ever. No black magic, just the 5 years being up that Microsoft had the rights.

The shown image is like this -->

Enough space to shove all the DLC into what little space is left on disk 2? maybe.

I wonder if the "enhanced" version of ME2 will be in the set for 360 and PC? And seriously the poor people planning to get it on Wii U, paying a standard game price for just ME3 when the rest of the consoles get a trilogy edition for what I can imagine would be a similar price. What a kick in the nuts to a new console, maybe now they have announced this they will change the release? Doubtful tho since they announced the interactive comic for ME2 etc. I really hope developers don't end up shafting Nintendo again when they finally have a very capable console this time around.

Any additional bug fixes, such as Conrad Verner's, and Saving the Scientists Paragon choices from ME1 into ME2 (And consequently into ME3)?

Edit 1: Scratch that: looks like it's rereleased only from the looks of the packaging structure. Similar to what they've done to Crysis Maximum Edition.

Why do people keep asking if that comes with DLC? Unless you're just picking this up for the first time you most likely have all the DLC you want for the games already.
maybe getting it for a new system.
or maybe people didn't buy the DLC. the ME2 DLC wasn't really worth buying except for Lair of the Shadow Broker.

This could mean that there won't be any patches to ME3 after November though. I doubt that's a reasonable conclusion though.
Myself, I'd just like to have a hard copy of ME1. I get tired of logging onto Steam to play. yes yes.. I know I don't HAVE to, but you still have to go through the wait of steam loading. <_<
Also, I'm pretty sure the image of disks and stuff is a rendered image and not a photo. There should be more text in various places and the shading is a bit too perfect. I say this only to make the point that it's a kken way of hiding details they don't want to release quite yet. Simple marketing.

PS3 users don't have ME, thus don't have Bring down the sky(which was a good dlc) PC users got that dlc for free as an incentive to buy it on the PC while 360 users had to buy it.Asch Lavigne wrote...
