Interesting, but don't see how it applies to 360 players, such as myself. Already have all the games, why would I buy them again? Anyways, happy to hear PS3 players will be able to experience ME1 now.

MS sold 70 million 360s. Bioware sold 2 to 3 million ME trilogies on 360. So I guess we don't have to buy the games again for them to sell more...And dare I say it, I bet their target is not those who bought all 3 games already. :D

What happened to, "no, go ahead and buy the ME3 collector's edition as there won't be any mega collection later on"?

Oh right, because promises from Bioware/EA is worthless that's why.

Ha. And you'd wonder why people are frustrated and angry.

Actually, it is not a mega collection. It is a collection with the three games, but without any other merchandising apart the artbook. Mega means huge, and this pack is not huge...

Aww... where's the FemShep version for the cover?

I played through consistently as FemShep over a dozen times in 1 - about 4 times in 2 and am onto my 3rd playthrough with FemShep in 3 - for all the games maybe only 3 times as JohnShep in 1 - still haven't completed a full JohnShep in 2 and not at all for 3

Would be nice to see a new consistent FemShep face available for 1,2 and 3 as an added bonus

If the Trilogy is going to have all the DLCs (up to now, at least), I'll go for it, even though I have most of the DLCs anyway (except for some ME2 and all ME1 ones), just out of a collector fever (:P)... but if the DLCs aren't in there, I'll give it a pass.

Why bother buying this if there was no change to the game except it's repackaged into something they tell you you should buy again?

All the same bugs will still be there. ALL the bugs. With all their focus on ME3, I don't see how much time they would have secretly spent on making something that will likely not sell well. And since Bioware have long abandoned giving support to ME1&2....
There will likely be no DLC, or very few DLC included. So if you want DLC for 1 and 2, buy buy buy. Oh, which btw, will include the bugs for them too.
Also, ME3's DLCs are still not all out yet, and we're still waiting on a patch. These things usually comes out after a studio is completely finished with a game. But noo...too desperate

It makes me wonder if we'll stop seeing DLC for ME3 after the release of this trilogy. I hope not. :(

huh ? They said "no mega collector", not "no mega collection". And there hasn't been any mega collector edition of ME3 as far as I know. You get frustrated and angry because you look for any excuse to be...

trih is, his pack isn't really for people who own the whole trilogy.  It's to get NeW people in.  Sure they've added a sweetener for completists, but they would far from expect all fanboys and girls to be rebuying.

It's not all about the fans, as shocking as that sounds.

As for the bugs, I've been playing games a long time, there is no such thing as a bug free game.  Or software to be honest

Funny, I'd expect people to be greatful for a bundle, especially PS3 users, like me, who never got the first Mass Effect while entitled users like you put us and Bioware down because you think you own the franchise.

An offhand mention by someone who has no say in the marketing department is hardly something that should be taken seriously. A lot of people, including myself, have asked repeatedly for ME1 to be put on the PS3. Popular demand causes plans to change. That's common sense.

Layman's terms, get the hell over it. Special editions come out for every game, and there's been no confirm or deny whether or not the special items(like the hoodie and extra weapons) will be on the bundle. So nothing has invalidated your purchasing the Collector's Edition of ME3.

Your entire point is moot.

They're also giving PS3 users what they've been asking for since ME2 came out for PS3. The beginning. The whole story.

So long as the DLCs are included, or I don't have to re-download or re-install them from the PSN(same games, but they have to patch ME2 to accept ME1 imports so I don't know how that will work out,) I have no problem rebuying 2 and 3 to get ME1 since I'm getting a new game for $60(the average price) and I can trade my existing copies of 2 and 3 at gamestop to shave around $20 off of my total.

As a PS3 user I am estancia about the release, which will hopefully also include some missing content from ME2 and ME3 too (missing content for pS3 users that is). So yes, this does give us what we want.

It also gives some PS3 users who like whole stories and never played a reason to come out and play.

Even though I am a 360 user, I am especially happy for PS3 gamers who will now have a chance to play ME1 for the first time and get the complete Mass Effect experience.

Yay for PS3 users! Though will the graphics and textures of ME1 be updated at least a little? It's still a good game, but it is starting to look dated compared to the other installments.

False advertising is bad, mk?

At the very least that doesn't apply to ME3  AT ALL, when it should apply the MOST. >_>

I honestly consider buying it for the PS3 - I've only played it on PC as of now, but being able to play it on the big screen and with surround sound from the couch has merit :)

I never experienced any game breaking bugs in ME1-3, the only bug that really bothers me is the one in ME2 where you're exploring that crashed freighter and you can get stuck on that last ledge before the end. Oh, and the one where I somehow lost all my money in ME3, but that I could simply rectify with loading another savegame. And they'd at least have to patch ME2 on PS3 to include the save-import option and I guess ME1 will have Garrus' high-res face on PS3 as well, as the ME1 port for PS3 is new anyway.

I'm pretty sure the DLCs for ME1 and ME2 are included in the package: ME1 had BDtS on PC from the beginning and ME2 had all the story DLCs except Arrival on PS3, so in order to not discriminate, they'd have to at least include those. The only other ME1 DLC is Pinnacle Station which is not a story DLC, so I wouldn't miss it. The only other story-based DLC from ME2 would be Arrival which I hope they include as well just to make it complete.

As far as ME3 DLCs go, I'd suspect they included (either physically or as codes) those that will ship with the WII U, namely the EC and From Ashes as well as all the MP DLCs. Leviathan is too new I guess, and Omega might not be even out come November 6th.

Next step after this should be to get the complete series out for WiiU too.(They're getting a worse deal than PS3 users have for the last two years.)

Yeah, like wiping out the Krogans and deciding between Geth and Quarians isn't a profound consequence... Or killing several of your (former) squadmates

Already got everything that's out so far, games and DLC, but good if this brings in new gamers and glad of course that the PS3 owners get the whole set now too.

This is what I wanted from the start - a big trilogy box. Only I would have wanted it to be released at the same time as ME3, so interested new players could get the whole ME experience. Now I don't really see the point (like with the Vega anime). Most fans already have all the games (although I see that at least here many are considering to buy again, for whatever reason), and the new fans Bioware wanted to attract they tried to attract with vanilla ME3, the great stand-alone game. Should they also actually release ME1+2 without all the DLC it would just be embarrassing. Like, seriously.

Had ME3 been the game I'd hoped it would be I know 2-3 people who, if they refused to buy the trilogy themselves, would've gotten a rather big christmas present this year. Damn...

Great news for PS3 users though!
