Aww... where's the FemShep version for the cover?

I played through consistently as FemShep over a dozen times in 1 - about 4 times in 2 and am onto my 3rd playthrough with FemShep in 3 - for all the games maybe only 3 times as JohnShep in 1 - still haven't completed a full JohnShep in 2 and not at all for 3

Would be nice to see a new consistent FemShep face available for 1,2 and 3 as an added bonus

Agreed!  The default FemShep in ME2 is pretty terrible, in my opinion.  And frankly, the graphics quality on FemSheps, default or otherwise, seemed lower than Males.  Can't comment on ME1 since I haven't been able to play it (ps3).  I'd really like to see the ME3 FemShep throughout the trilogy, as it was the only time they really seemed to get it right.  She deserves the same consistency and attention given to default MaleShep.

Even though I am a 360 user, I am especially happy for PS3 gamers who will now have a chance to play ME1 for the first time and get the complete Mass Effect experience.

Go Steelers!  (I hope that's what your handle refers to...)

This is what I wanted from the start - a big trilogy box. Only I would have wanted it to be released at the same time as ME3, so interested new players could get the whole ME experience. Now I don't really see the point (like with the Vega anime). Most fans already have all the games (although I see that at least here many are considering to buy again, for whatever reason), and the new fans Bioware wanted to attract they tried to attract with vanilla ME3, the great stand-alone game. Should they also actually release ME1+2 without all the DLC it would just be embarrassing. Like, seriously.

Had ME3 been the game I'd hoped it would be I know 2-3 people who, if they refused to buy the trilogy themselves, would've gotten a rather big christmas present this year. Damn...

Great news for PS3 users though!

As a PS3er, I am stoked for the ME1 release.  I'll finally get to play the story from the beginning.  But the DLC is really the key.  If it's included (at least for ME1 and ME2), then I'm all over this.  If it's not, why would I spend $60 for this versus probably $10 for ME1 by itself when it gets released digitally via PSN?

Answer: I wouldn't.

So the $50 question remains...DLC or no?

Wasn't better to wait until ME3 finished with all the DLC before releasing this??? This won't be an ultimate edition if other DLCs will be released after...

Does anyone know anything about if the DLC off all the three games will be included?

If so than its definitely a buy for me!

According to the producer of the trilogy set, they are not ready yet to talk about included DLC, but soon: link

Could Bioware add in a support function for PS3 users, wherein we can play ME1, and simply apply the decisions we made into a re-run of an ME2 and ME3? Kinda like the freedom of how we can do a repeat of ME2 with an old shep with specced out levels, but make new decisions via comics?

Because as much as I'd like to play ME1, my work precludes me from grinding hard into the game just to level up the characters (ME2) and the weapons (ME3) all over again? I'd want to "breeze" through and enjoy the new things added by having a real ME1 file into the ME2 and ME3 experience :D

I might just guess how happy some of the fans on here are to bend over for this wallet-rape.

It shouldn't be that hard to implement..

Glad to see PS3 folks will be able to play ME1 now. I'm surprised Microsoft Game Studios went for that.

Yeah how did this happen!?! Lol up to now 100% of people used to say it would never happen on PS3 due to MS having the license to ME1.  Did they finally give it up? or was there an expiration to it?

Not everyone was saying it. I was arguing with people that sooner or later EA would get full rights to ME1 and release it on other systems. And lookie look, it's happening, I'm right again  Microsoft probably paid its debt for leaking ME3 beta last year lol

BTW PS3 folks, you will also be able to buy ME1 separately from PSN store if you don't want to get the whole trilogy (digital version of course, EA won't release separate boxed copies for 1 old game :P)

This is great. But, I already own it on PC, PS3, and 360, aside from ME1 on PS3. What I had hoped was a reworking of the inventory and combat systems to be more similar to ME2 & ME3.

I already have all 3 games and DLC for PC, but I would get this collection for my PS3 if it had all DLC included. Anyone else in the same boat?

Downside is that PS3 people who just want to play 1 have to re-buy 2 & 3 here.

Questions - Will there be a FemShep cover?
Will saves from the original copies work with this edition?

I've got all the ME games on my X-Box 360 and ME1 and ME 2 on my PC, but I'm still buying the whole trilogy for my PS3. 'Cause I'm hardcore! Image IPB

bad-ass cover;)

The cover's really pretty, they incorporated the covers of each game in a really classy way, especially compared to other Collection covers:

Not true. There'll be a digital version of ME1 on PSN.

And for ME1 to work they'll have to patch in a save import to ME2, simple as that.

I play other multiplayers, too (Starcraft II especially), but ME3 Multiplayer to me is has its own charm. I never played LoL, just watched some games on streams, I never liked the graphics - too WoW comicy style for me. But afaik you don't have all the 100 characters from the start as well, but have to unlock them in the shop, toowhich takes a ridiculous amount ot time, too so I don't see the difference to ME3...

Well, I gotta admit that I started playing LoL in the Beta where all characters were for free, so I had the opportunity to play any champ I wanted.
Still, it's completely different than ME3's Multiplayer. In LoL there are 10 free characters every week, so each week you get someone different to play - and I'd rather be stuck with 10 random characters in LoL than the ones you get in ME3's MP. Truth be told, I had much more fun trying out Hecarim or Mundo than I had with the Geth Infiltrator or the Quarian Engineer - which are the only two 'Rare' characters I ever got.
Plus, you can't actively decide which characters you're gonna get in ME3. It's completely random - theoretically, you could spend an eternity trying to unlock one certain character.

But if I understand correctly you might have to wait 10 weeks for a specific champion (or more if free champions can be repeated from week to week) you want - for one week and then "poof" - new champions. With ME3, once you've unlocked a character, it stays. And after 10 weeks playing you should have unlocked quite a few of those.

And regarding which champ vs which ME3 MP character - that really depends on opinion, wouldn't you say? I guess we can agree here, that you like LoL more and I like ME3 MP more :wizard:

Good time to move back over to Sony. Free MP too!

I'd also like to know if there will be a femshep cover.

It would also be nice to have all the cut content from ME1 and 2 included, but I know that's asking to move heaven and Earth. Oh well.
