Doubt it, there was no FemShep version of ME1 & ME2 coversAustereLemur799 wrote...
I'd also like to know if there will be a femshep cover.
It won't happen for sureAustereLemur799 wrote...
It would also be nice to have all the cut content from ME1 and 2 included, but I know that's asking to move heaven and Earth. Oh well.

That's just plain silly. I mean, especially since Kaidan is a romance option for broshep in ME3 - it makes sense to put that back into ME1 since it was actually intended to be there.

Maybe it's two-sided like the steelbook-cover for the ME3 CE, but I doubt it, especially the original box will have a backside with all the explanations and contents. Maybe the inner Box, the one that's spread out on the fotos.

That would be quite the undertaking, just as implementing ME3 like combat for instance.

Of course, you can also unlock champions with points you gain from each game played. Or, if you want one immediately, you can also unlock them with real money.Siran wrote...
But if I understand correctly you might have to wait 10 weeks for a specific champion (or more if free champions can be repeated from week to week) you want - for one week and then "poof" - new champions. With ME3, once you've unlocked a character, it stays. And after 10 weeks playing you should have unlocked quite a few of those.
It varies from champ to champ how much they cost to unlock. Some you can get after just two won games. All the new champs cost much more than that though - which sucks, admittedly.
Well, alright, I guess I gotta agree with that. And regarding which champ vs which ME3 MP character - that really depends on opinion, wouldn't you say? I guess we can agree here, that you like LoL more and I like ME3 MP more

Ohh lord those are horrible. I only took them out twice, but I was so fraid I would break the discs.Asch Lavigne wrote...
The discs won't be as nasty to get out of the case as the ME3's CE one were, will it?

Nope. The sound files already exist in ME1. PC players were able to unlock them with some modding.
Anyways, I wouldn't ask them to change the gameplay. ME1's gameplay is part of the whole experience

And some files are missing, other have wrong gender (both in actual wording and in the context - for example, it doesn't fit that Kaidan would tell BroShep about the novels in which the hero saves the girl, BroShep ain't a girlAustereLemur799 wrote...

God, I just bought a PC version for my laptop a month ago and have been stumbling through it desperately because I thought this day would never come. I sure hope Bring Down the Sky DLC is included, since that seems impossible to download successfully onto Windows 7 without having to mess about with the registry keys (which I'm not gonna do because I'm not tech-savvy like that).
But still... I can finally, FINALLY play the first game with a controller and carry even the little choices over to 2 and 3, the choices I didn't get to ever experience because they were pre-determined on ME2 PS3 (such as Conrad Verner's appearances, Kirrahe's ME3 appearance, etc).
Happy, happy day. Now, if you'll excuse me, I better go change. I think I wet my panties a little bit...

There's more to a scene than mere audio. It'd have to be created in the ingame engine and especially the consequences for ME2 & ME3 had to be considered - like different behaviour and dialogue that wasn't recorded for ME2 and especially ME3 for an already romanced Kaidan. Then there'd have to be a new set of flags. Audio files are merely the beginning.

Big difference. MS didn't own Mass Effect IP. Bioware did (and thus EA later). The only thing MS owned was publishing rights to ME1 on consoles (since EA already got right to publish it on PC in 2008). So the only thing EA bought now was the remaining publishing rights for ME1 on consoles. Uncharted is 100% owned by Sony so unless MS buys Sony, Uncharted won't get released on X360, just like Halo won't get released on PS3Candidate 88766 wrote...
I'm surprised that Microsoft relented and allowed one its exclusives to go to PS3. Pleased, but surprised. Maybe one day I'll get to play Uncharted on my Xbox.

It wasn't all that hard to use a console command to change your gender in ME 1. I have one game where FemShep romanced Ash. I continued that game through ME 3. I admit ME 1 & ME 3 it did get a bit weird in spots. Some of the romance particular dialog was for DudeShep, some was strictly subtitles, but all in all it played out.
That might be a viable solution for the die-hard fan, but nothing to present to a casual gamer who'd be totally lost with weird gender-changed dialogues. To make it fit seamlessly into the game would require a rather large amount of work and testing.

Bring Down the Sky is free so I guess It will be included. Same goes for the Normandy crashsite, the Extended Cut and all that stuff. For the rest? I guess you'll have to pay for it, and I find that normal.
Now for the PC version, check here : http://social.biowar...ndex/1335293/26 (Top of the page, the code seems to work)
That said, it's pretty cool to see that the PS3 players will have the opportunity to play the entire trilogy.

Not necessarily, free or not, it was still DLC... and from what I can see from the Trilogy pack, it seems to be just the game discs. I'd imagine any kind of DLC would be put on an extra disc.

Again, thanks guys. Despite some cries of "wallet-rape" and other such jokes, I look forward to experiencing the fun you guys had on ME1.

As a PS3 user, I'd like to say a big thank you to the members of the Xbox and PC sub-communities of Mass Effect. I'm used to seeing other people rant about "Exclusives" and go all Varren when other consoles eventually gain access to the game. It's good to see that people here on the BSN behave and believe differently. It's oddly heart-warming to read comments saying things like, "Good to see that the PS3 users can finally play this."

Welcome. I sincerely hope you have as great a time as I did when I first played it, it was, and still is, thoroughly engaging. Hopefully, they'll have tweaked a few things for this new release.
At the same time, the thought's just occurred to me, does this mean we can finally register ME1 on the BSN?

I never understood fanboys myself. I'm passionate about Mass Effect and I'm glad more people will be able to play it on their platform of choice. I know a guy who was a huge fan of ME2 and didn't even know who Wrex is.BioticArm wrote...

Very missleading topic lol. I thought that you were announcing a completely new trilogy..
I think this is a sign that the ME saga has ended as far as new games are concerned. A little more DLC then thats it. Time to move on.
