All about the $$$ with Bioware now.
If it was, they wouldn't be charging such a good price
Except most likely it will have NONE of the dlc because if it did that isnt something they would not announce

Would be nice if it was a re-make for ME1 using the ME3 engine

that was my first question too lol. And did they update the controls from Mass Effect 1 to match the controls of Mass Effect 2 and 3 or will people still have to push the analog button down to duck and cover?Eclipse merc wrote...
Do you get the DLC?

They arent going to update the controls everything in mass effect 1 needs to remain the same and I doubt it will have the dlc if it did they would have announced that

If they made the PS3 version from scratch, they can certainly upgrade the PC version, can't they?

Hmmm:
"Create and customize your own character with his or her appearance and skills, then play your Commander Shepard through all three Mass Effect games.
Experience an amazingly rich and detailed universe where your decisions have profound consequences on the action and the outcome."
Dammit, I played the wrong game back in March.
My sentiments exactly. Still have the sour taste in my mouth over this, especially when Multiplayer is so good (though unnecessarily buggy). Couldn't they have focused on the three core things that made the series great in the first place (meaning ME1): 1. Story, 2. Choices (and customization), and 3. Interesting Characters some of whom are your squadmates. Instead, we got ME3: bad ending, pivotal moments that don't make sense, retcon'ed choices, choices omitted, forced dialogue, James Vega and EDI as squadmates instead of Wrex and/or Grunt, no big krogan charge scene, more frequently occurring bugs than ME1 and ME2 combined, and horrible looking humans - especially the eyes and mouth as they talked. Did Bioware's sense of vision fade?
Why don't they work on the ultimate revamp of ME1 - injecting best action elements of ME3 and eliminating the terrible inventory of ME1 - and then just leave the rest of it alone? Let me imagine my own ME stories after the first installment. Much better that way for many of us.
Glad the PS3 users finally get the ME1 love though.

MET for PS3 already #5 in EA games and #97 among all video games
MET for X360 is at #39 in EA games and #570 in all video games
MET for PC only #57 in EA games and just #901 in all video games
Looks like PS3 players were really starved for that ME1

Who is to say that, last i checked the PS3 version is getting delayed. I am sure it will just be a port but the fact is PS3 one is on delay because they are putting ME1 on PS3 finally.

With this announcement I feel i am require to go against the Wii U release of Mass Effect 3, Bioware should release it as a Trilogy for the Wii U. I am not a fan of the Wii or anything Nintendo is doing lately but i dont think Nintendo fans deserve to get screwed when it comes to the Mass Effect series. I like the series all the way up to end and therefore i feel the need to continue my support for the series, I aint going to let a bad ending spoil my fun for the series. But to the matter at hand, Wii U deserves a Trilogy release like the other systems or no Mass Effect at all.
The fact of the matter is the wii u is lucky they are getting any of the games with how stupid their new system is they are so determined to not be a regular game system and so many companys want to steer clear

My copy of 2 is a bit scratched up. Not because I don't take care of my things, but because I played the hell out of it. On two different PS3's. I even bought it again and downloaded it from PSN.
I only have the digital version of 3 because, long story, I had pre-ordered the CE of 3 but 1 day (!) before Amazon was set to ship it (March 5th) my PS3's blu-ray drive failed. I wasn't about to wait to play ME3. The wait for it was already palpable.
So, it'll be nice to have all 3 hard copies.
tl;dr, pre-order pre-ordered!

I just built a gaming pc a couple days ago and tried playing ME1 and all the textures and stuff are going crazy for whatever reason.
Either way, I'm gonna buy this just for the sake of collection and the case looks really cool

Thats the fact why i dont support Nintendo anymore pass their handheld systems, I feel its only a matter of time before they become a 3rd party developer themselves.

and the prize, it's less than I payed for ME3 collectors eddition... such a waste of credits
I know! I should've just got the reg edition of ME3. As I never really used the CE items in my campaign anyway..
This package is such a steal, especially for the PS3 folk. Hell, in fact ME1 was the REASON I bought a 360 over PS3 few years back, all the other good exclusives are on PS3 anyway.
