Chris, a few of us have asked if there will be an alternate FemShep box. I know I for one would love one.

ME1 for the PS3?

Am I dreaming?

:D

Hehe I can imagine it must feel like a dream for PS3 players after so long and most people (not me ;P ) telling them how it will never happen because Microsoft and blah blah
Congratz to you and all PS3 players! :D

Yea, it feels really great.

Funny, i was so convinced they'd never do it. I was like "Wut......REALLY ?" when i find out.

i was happy

What DLC is included in the Mass Effect Trilogy?

  • On PC, Mass Effect will include Bring Down the Sky and Pinnacle Station on disk.  For Mass Effect 2, Cerberus Network will be included which features Zaeed – The Price of Revenge, The Firewalker Pack, Cerberus Assault Gear, Arc Projector heavy weapon, and Normandy Crash site mission.  For Mass Effect 3, Online Pass will be included granting players access to co-op multiplayer.
  • On Xbox 360, Bring Down the Sky and Pinnacle Station are not included with Mass Effect, however they are available as stand-alone downloads through Xbox LIVE.  For Mass Effect 2, Cerberus Network will be included and Online Pass will be included for Mass Effect 3.
  • Information on PlayStation 3 DLC will be available soon.

So, it's nothing more than a quick and utterly pointless cash grab. Unsurprising, given the fact that DLC is still being developed for ME3.

Well, let's see how many more Trilogy 'Editions' EA pops out, before they finally decide to put EVERYTHING on disc <_<

Being serious though, they will probably release one more Trilogy edition with all DLC in a year-two once the current DLC sales (further boosted by upcoming Trilogy release) dry up

I'm gonna nitpick a little here but why not release a disc version of ME1 for the PS3? I'd much rather have a physical copy since I got the 2nd and 3rd game on Blu-ray.

Yeah, I'd like something more expensive but worth the money, with all sorts of blessed collector goodness and ultimate editionness. Like a coffee table like thing.

Yeah but lets face it ea will use a prepaid code instead of having it on a disc since they love to screw everyone

WOW I am really sad to see that pretty much what I bought originally in ME2 and ME3 is what I am getting again.. So missing DLC from ME2 and ME3....

I had planned to buy all 3.. PC, xbox 360 and PS3 and after reading this I am not buying any of these.

Once again EA has foiled the only reason to buy anything from them.

Not getting the full DLC for ME2 is a major deal breaker.. Its the same garbage I have from the original ME2 CE.

Here is an idea, how about releasing a GOTY for ME2 like you did for Dragon Age and giving the fans who did not buy the DLC a  chance to buy it on CD.

Thats what most of us want anyways. I understand about ME3 as its not done..

Bioware, be smart and wait to release this whole thing 100% completed with all DLC for all 3 games.. I think your answer has made most of us say NAY dont want this any longer.

We all have this stuff already for the most part. Really not even worth it to buy it on PS3 for part 1 again..

EA.. The end of Bioware....

Hi everyone

Answering some of your most asked questions. Will provide more detail as the rest becomes available:

Will the original Mass Effect be available as a standalone game on PlayStation 3?
  • YES the original Mass Effect will be available as a standalone digital title through the PlayStation Network for $14.99.  It will release the same day as the Mass Effect Trilogy on PlayStation 3.
Is the Mass Effect Trilogy compatible with other versions of Mass Effect?
  • Yes, the Mass Effect Trilogy is compatible with other versions of Mass Effect.  This means you can use saves from across the original Mass Effect, Mass Effect 2, and Mass Effect 3 titles with the Trilogy.  Mass Effect 3 multiplayer is also compatible across different versions.
Hope this helps. Keep asking any unanswered questions and I'll keep working on the answers.

Hi Chris,

thanks for answering those questions.

I have two additional questions regarding the arrival (ha!B)) of ME1 on PS3 if you don't mind. Can you say if there's an update coming for ME2 to import those ME1 saves? And if so, will we PS3 gamers then be able to enjoy ME2 and 3 the same way PC and XBOX users have been, with all the little details that were left out of the PS3 versions originally because there was no ME1 on PS3 (like Conrad Verner etc.)?

Thanks

I love how bioware thinks any SMART person would buy this on the xbox or pc OR EVEN PS3 FOR THAT MATTER since they can buy the game digitally for 14.99 anyone who buys this who has bought any of the other games is MENTALLY HANDICAPPED

Yea but I was hoping for a standalone ME1 copy.

Oh well I might get the MET since I'm a sucker for cool boxes and artwork.

Kasumi, Overlord & LOTSB in PS3 version of ME2 were included on the disc, not on any code, so I think all-on-disc way is possible

Most of you are forgetting that Chris said they hope to have more details soon, which means what Chris said in his last post is not all there is to say about the trilogy pack and there is more to come.

So I am waiting and hoping that between now and the time the Mass Effect Trilogy pack is released that Chris and other Bioware staff would have told us that all that we want which are: all ME DLC, Improved Graphics, games fixes and patches are in the Mass Effect Trilogy Pack!

Keep posting what we want to remind Bioware its our money we are spending here and we want value for our money!

Yes but lets use another one of eas games as an example battlefield 3 premium edition has A CODE which is what ea will most likely do since they love screwing used buyers

Urhm, you do realize people may sell their current copies and just get MET? DLC is bounded to Origin account anyway so if you're buying for the same system, you don't lose anything

Soooo let me get this straight, none of the limited time extra DLC, none of the ME2 DLC that doesn't come with a new copy anyway, and none of the ME3 stuff.

Even new people to the series could pick up all three games brand new with that basic stuff (besides PS3 with ME1) for less than the asking price of this set, quite a bit less actually. Why would anyone pay $20 extra for a box? After all the requests for a ME2 Ultimate this is what Bioware and EA come up with? Color me disappointed :/
