What's the point of this Trilogy if it has no DLC whatsoever.
Jesus, huge disappointment, won't recommend to anyone. Buying all games separate is 2x cheaper at least in PL.

It is ridiculous. I'm positive someone reasonably crafty in navigating bargain bins( digital or otherwise) will have no difficulties whatsoever finding new  ME1 and ME2 for 10-15 dollars each.Even easier finding ME3 for that 30-40 bucks.

Edit,
3 mins and one Google search later..
(Sites in Finnish. )
Brand spankin new physical versions of all three MEs,for grand total of  34e. There ye go. This is approx 25-30e cheaper than buying the box set in Europe.

https://www.coolshop...ass_effect_3_pc
http://www.discshop....ue_games/P68181
http://www.vpd.fi/tu...mat paketit!/PC

Ofc, that 30e difference in price is fine and acceptable, because DAT LAMINATED PICTURE OF SHEPARD OH MAN. IMAGINE HOW GOOD THE PIECE OF PAPER WILL SMELL WHEN ITS BRAND NEW MMM OMG DAT SMELL OF NEW. Who cares if NONE of the content  DLCs for 3 year old game has been packaged in, as long as it has PICTURE OF SHEPARD. Oh pleaese god take my money EA I REALLY must buy this awesome product.

..Seriously tho, its like they are determined not to add any value in. Art book? Geeky scifi dog tags and an  inflatable Revenant? Behind the scenes book or dvd about birth, history or world  of the Mass Effect? Interviews? Insight, " Director's commentary" So many relatively cost effective ways to add value in this. They end up going with..a picture of Shepard? Lol.  This is one huge big box of nothing.

..Tho I can easily imagine this box having huge value for PS3 owners.  Or atleast it does in alternate universe where somebody serious enough about gaming to enjoy cRPGs  is still trying to play modern video games on that particular generation of consoles.

Kinda disappointed I have to admit. Thou it's great that ps3 owners now have the chance to play the whole trilogy. I'm hoping that once Bioware is done with ME3 DLC they would release ultimate trilogy box, which would have:

All 3 games patched up
All possible DLC, meaning free/payed/retailer exclusive/collector editions
High quality soundtracks, maybe even in lossless format
Wallpapers in various resolutions
Maybe some ringtones to phones
etc.

The price for that trilogy box is 59,99€ in the internet. I could buy the games new for 31€ + shipping if I get them separately from online retailer(checked amazon.co.uk prices). So the trilogy box is kinda bad value for money.

So yeah, fingers crossed for the ultimate box. Most likely I have better luck winning in the lottery than seeing that...

I don't understand why people don't understand that this is not really aimed at anyone that already owns the game. Boxed copies of the ME1 are not sold at the big box stores anymore and at the Target I work at we don't even carry ME2 for the 360 anymore. This set is for people that have never bought the series and providing a box in a store that can be purchased. I know some collectors will still want to buy it but they are not "screwing" you out of content. This is just a way to get a tidy pack out for holiday and if those customers want the dlc they just buy it like the rest of us did.

Exactly, it's not about people who already own the trilogy (unless you're a completist), it's for us PS3 fans and newcomers. No one is making 'us' buy anything.  If its not worth it to you, don't buy it.  It's really that simple.

Considering I have all the games I wont be buying this. What I would like to know out of curiosity, now that Chris has said the DLC wont be added will  this also mean that the EC wont be on the ME3 disc?

I don't know if someone already asked this, but will ME1 be "updated" to ME2/ME3 graphics, controls and inventory system?

Almost certainly not. ME1 is just too different to 2&3, it would be very difficult to achieve I would think.

that is a VERY important question ..please don't ignore it ..because ME3 without EC has absolutely  no ending ...the EC is not an option at all ...it's part of the basic game and it's a must

i gave away my collector's edition because of that ...ME3 as original has no ending ..i want a copy with an end..so really ..put the EC in all your new releases Bioware !!!!

Neat idea I guess, but not very value-friendly. Only one of those games is actually good.

It has indeed been asked several times before but it never hurts to keep asking.;)

Wow releasing this edition without the the DLC, shambolic. Really can't wait for the super duper trilogy edition that will be released in a year or two which does include everything.

Does Bioware's greed know no bounds these days, you have gone way beyond milking the cow dry, you are now forcibly violating that poor cow from behind.

Oh but you're getting a nice foil box to keep the games in.

Bioware 2012 - Forever looking for ways to shaft their fans, sad thing is, you actually still get people on here who defend their every action.

Dude, it's three current-gen games for the price of one. Quit crying.

I think the PS3 version will have Bring Down the Sky and Pinncale Station on disk, same as digital download. ME2 will be the same way early copies were, Cerberus Network, Kasumi, Project Overlord, and Lair of the Shadow Broker. As for ME3... doubt any dlc will be on it. It would be nice to have From Ashes to be on disk.

Right now I can get all three ME games for about 40€. All that the grand trilogy edition adds to what I get that way is Pinnacle Station, which isn't really one of the most important or beloved ME DLC, and a fancy new box. Yeah...!

and I can see why, for you, the trilogy wouldn't be value for money.

i need ME on PS3, but I'm also going to buy the box set for a couple of people at Christmas.  The fact they have never played makes this value for money, IMO.  And minus 1 or 2 DLC, most if the download content isn't necessary for the story so no harm or foul. But as witho all things, beauty and value, is in the eye for the beholder.

Then don't buy MET. Meanwhile, new players who never tried the franchise can get all 3 games in nice box in a single place without having to search for any big deals on each separate game to get all 3 for cheap. Not to mention thanks to MET the first Mass Effect is coming to PS3 finally, so really, I don't see any problem here. You can just wait for another trilogy collection with all DLC that will surely come out in a year-two.

If it was announced ME3 game engine was going to be implemented into ME1 and 2 then I would have to buy it.

No, but you get the online pass for ME3 which means you download the extended cut dlc for free.

Since the matter of Bring Down the Sky has been brought up, I would like to ask whether there will ever be an alternate of procuring the DLC for the PC, as after the old BioWare account site was shut down, I have yet to learn of any way to acquire or reacquire the DLC activation key.

After using up the activation limit for Mass Effect(I don't know if there is/was an activation limit to the Sky DLC, but I have had cases where the key have been rejected during installation) twice, which is quite obviously my own fault, and not taking a copy of the activation key before the old account site was shut down, which is also my own fault, the temptation of purchasing a new copy of the original Mass Effect is relatively small.

Though I will subscribe to this thread in the hopes for an answer, a direct reply, through e-mail or private messages, would be greatly appreciated.

This is a bad value. It's not aimed at new customers. It's an expensive Origin client ticket in a tin box.

Project 10 Dollar DLC (that is included in new/legal purchases) is a given, but where is the "value" ? As many pointed out, (especially on the PC) buying this new (ala STEAM sales), used at a retailer (Gamestop), or at more reputable outlets other than EA/Origin (like Amazon) is preferable.

Where is the complete package ? Why is the Nintendo crowd getting bent over ? Why isn't this being released after all the DLC for ME3 is completed ? Why isn't ME1 being remade like ME2/3 ? (worked out well for Halo Anniversary Edition)

These guys (EA/Bioware) know they are under a microscope, yet continue to act as though business is usual. ME1 stand alone on PSN is a great addition. No WiiU Trilogy (while reasonable from a business standpoint) is a slap in the face to the Nintendo players & over all this "Trilogy" seems nothing more than sucker bait/nerd tax.

The trilogy is a nice gift for anyone that hasn't played before. PS3 players will finally have ME1. As for me... I already own the games and all the DLC so no need to buy this package.

They could have added something to the package to entice us long term fans, but didn't. Oh well.
