Mass Effect Trilogy Announced

Why in the name of the Beings of Light would you give the ME1 DLC to PC players but not Xbox? Blah blah blah, technical stuff probably, but this just feels awkward. Not to mention that 'Lair of the Shadow Broker' and 'Arrival' are ridiculously important DLCs, and I don't see mention of them being included.
What kind of 'complete' trilogy is this? Lol

Well, of course we won't buy it. Anyone who hangs out on this board is already a Mass Effect fan. Except for the PS3 guys, why wouldn't we have already bought all three games?
The trilogy isn't for us. It's for the people who haven't played ME yet. Well, and maybe for folks who want to switch platforms for some reason.
If what you say is true then Chris Preistly wont have announced the Trilogy on this site, and instead would announce it on twitter and everyother form of website and media and NOT THIS ONE!
This trilogy pack IS FOR US THE FANS as well as those who havnt played the game before, and regardless of who the trilogy pack is for they should AT LEAST fix the graphical problem in all 3 games of this pack and save new commers the truble of downloading patches and fixes for the games.

Just in case, these are the standard retail version of the games.

Fix? It took them whole bloody summer to fix issues I've been having with BF3/ME3, and last time I checked, Valiant ammo count (or they called it feature and I missed that part?) and sticky upper steps on ladders glitches were still persistant. As well as some invisible Banshee. Game was released... what, almost 7 months ago?

Ah, but now that I know about the trilogy I can tell my gamer friends who haven't played ME to buy it. Well, except that all of my gamer friends have already played it, but you get the idea.

and now that they fix them even that they took forever the fixes can be embedded in the trilogy pack without having to install them,
along with additional fixes!

Garrus face fix, lack of family resemblance between trilogy Shepards fix, some minor texture glitches I barely remember?
Not sure of all odd and awkward animations and explosions and sprites are part of that.

Bioware "how to fix bugs guide":
1. Try to look like nothing happens, maybe customers lose patience and go away.

Hmm, why this reminds me of Buggerfall?

Thats simple they are boxing it the way it was originally released for that system so ME2 for PS3 version of Trilogy should have what it had when first released on PS3, so all dlc minus Arrival for ME2 PS3 version. As for ME1 i suspect that one will include all dlc for PS3 version too and its 360 and PC and maybe Wii U getting the short sticks here.

Same for me provided that we can import the save in ME2 and have access to DLC. It would also be a good idea to allow owner of PC DLC version to have them free of charge in ME1The Cult Of Shepard wrote...
As a PS3 user myself, I got to tell you that I am very happy that BioWare managed to find a way to make ME1 playable for the PS3!

Since ME 3 was released I wanted a trilogy pack. I can honestly say im buying it maybe 2 you know just in case (: Sigh bioware always finds a way to make me spend money I love you guys... (that was not sarcasm) Stop making great games haha.. I am kidding more ME
Didin't you already have the main games? Need another copy? Another codes to play with... yourself?
The only reason I'll buy Full Edition is bcs it will be FULL Edition and I could play full game when they stop supporting it. This is worth the money - have everything on secured copy. The copy that would not need the net connetion to play. Thats make sense. And I hope maybe in 2-3years we will get something like this.
But just another codes? What for? I could use what I already have.
The interesting thing is the ME1 on PS3. Bring Down the Sky was free for PC. I hope it will be free on PS3 too... Pinnacle Station is not worth the money. Not something I will pay for second time on another platform.

I want to know if the side characters in Mass Effect will show up in Mass Effect 2 and 3 on your PS3. By side characters I mean Fist and Conrad Verner ect. Will I have to buy the Mass Effect Trilogy to get these characters to carry over to the copies of Mass Effect 2 and 3 I already own? Will the digital copy of Mass Effect carry over saves to the copies of Mass Effect 2 and 3 I already own? Will the digital copy of Mass Effect come with the DLC? These are questions I need answers to. The answers to these questions will determine how much money I will spend in the future. I asked Chris Priestly about this and so far he has not returned my message. I hope he can take the time to answer some of these questions for us though. I'm very excited to play Mass Effect on PS3!
This is exactly what I'd like to know too because I'm not going to buy an entire trilogy when I already have 2 & 3 plus all of the dlc for both of those games. I just want to know if the ME1 digital will come with DLC (or if DLC will even be available for it) and if I'll get to see characters like Kirrahe & Verner appear if they survive my ME1. I'd assume that the save imports should work on all platforms because what would be the point for PS3 players? Kirrahe is in the PS3 demo of ME3 but there's no way to import him from our ME2 saves... so I guess I'll just wait until they update for PS3 info..

More specifically, I would suggest it is about supporting BioWare, having a nice new collection with nice art and such. Less so about extra codes, lol.

i may be in the minority here, but i don't care if they tweak ME1 for the PS3 (like they did for ME2) - just being able to have Kirrahe alive for the events of ME3 is going to be seriously cool. and missing some of the sidequests in ME1 had some strange impacts in ME2 for the PS3 as well (like the sales kiosk on Illium). good to see those get cleared up.
couple of quick questions (apologies if these have been asked/answered already):
1) will the DLC we already have for ME2/ME3 (PS3) work for this box set?
2) will you be patching ME2 (PS3) to allow it to import save files from the DDL version of ME1? (although being the CE nut i am, i'm getting the box set anyway)
3) how seamless will it be between all 3 games? are we talking about going straight from ME1 to ME2 or will we have to change discs between each game?
seriously great news for all of the PS3 fans out there - we may not be as large as the XBox360 or PC community, but you have some devoted followers here on the PS3.
THANKS!!!

well, i've now seen 3 different answers to that question:
1) on the mass effect site, it says "later"
2) as it says at the top of the thread, Nov 6th for all platforms
3) gamestop.com has a release date of 12/31/12 for the PS3 version
so i think some confusion is warranted.

Dunno if the PS3 versions are on fewer discs like some of their games are while being multiple discs on the 360, but...
Disc 1 is ME1
Discs 2 & 3 are ME2 (2 discs just like the original)
Discs 4 & 5 are ME3 (2 discs just like the original)
So yes, if you go from one game to another you will have to swap discs. None of the games will be merged on any of the discs.

so that means the 3 discs for us PS3 owners... BluRay kinda kicks HD DVD or regular DVD butt.

The trilogy pack should be a complete edition with every last bit of DLC ever made for all three games and other special features(soundtracks, artbooks etc.)
It would be for a higher price of course but it would be a proper ultimate pack as it should.
But no, all BioWare and EA care about is money-grabbing.....selling the three incomplete, crippled versions only to turn around and have you dish a lot more for the DLC and then they don't even add anything remotely interesting to make the trilogy pack appealing to anyone. Hell they didn't even put the extended cut on the disc.
It seems like they really have nothing to offer besides disappointments these days.
The PS3 gets ME1 but it all seems a bit pointless now....too little too late and I wouldn't be shocked if they get the shot in the head version of the game too without ME2 actually supporting save imports.
Having been around since before the release of ME1 and tracked all games long before their respective releases I actually have every last bit of DLC, all comics, all books etc. .....a complete, ultimate experience to put it propperly but I still would have paid for a final trilogy pack if it were done right.....this is not it, they placed absolutely no care or attention in this bundle. It just looks like something they scrapped together in 5 minutes without any forethought or planning in hopes of a quick buck.
