On PC, they're incredibely rare, happened only about twice since the introduction of BW points 3 years ago. Plus, sales are beside the point. All products lose base value over time (and then still go on sales with that decreased value, that's how we have ME2 available for $5 sometimes)AlanC9 wrote...
Well, there are DLC sales from time to time, aren't there?
Most likely the reason, customers are big part of the problem here. If we keep buying 2-years old DLC for full price, publishers think "yep! no reason to decrease it!"AlanC9 wrote...
Unless, of course, it's not stupid. EA knows how many copies of the DLCs they're selling at full price, and how many new copies of the games they're selling. Perhaps there aren't very many price-sensitive people out there, and they're moving DLCs at full price even now? If so, it'd be silly to bundle the DLCs with the trilogy at any serious price break. You'd just be throwing revenue away from the people who were going to buy the DLCs at full price.
Sure, the problem starts when you follow more than 1/2 games though and want to buy DLC for like, say, 5-10 games a year. And 5-10 games a year ain't even that muchAlanC9 wrote...
$10 every couple of months is beneath notice for someone with a decent job. It's, what, two beers? Less if you're drinking decent stuff.
