If Xbox 360 version of Mass Effect 1 gets updated to ME2 standard then I'll buy it. Still has many game bugs.
ME1 won't be updated either on 360 or PC.

I'd like to know if they will be a copy of the ME discs already have.
Also will the Trilogy Edition unlock new achievements?
In few words what will be the difference between the new release and the versions I already own?
Thanks for your assistance.

Agree, why even risk more people experiencing the original ending lol?MegaSovereign wrote...
It'd be weird if they didn't at least bundle the Extended Cut with the ME3 copies.
There won't be any changes for PC or 360. Only PS3 version of ME1 may be a bit improved since they're only working on it now, but we won't know that till it's actually releasedD.Shepard wrote...
Do you know if the "Trilogy Edition" will feature some improvement (like original ME graphics upgrades, additional scenes etc)?

I want their aim to happen but not as much as I want it to be released with as few bugs as possible for PS3

So basically, the three vanilla games in one box, and more expensive than separately.
Yeah, that's a no from me, and I was considering getting it for the PC (own all of 'em on X360). I do not want to spend additional half the price on DLCs alone.
To be fair, it's not actually more expensive than purchasing new copies of all three separately, at least on XBox.
XBox:
ME1 $15 + ME2 $20 + ME3 $30 = Total cost $65 = Trilogy saves you five bucks.
Not much cheaper, but it is.
I assume the prices are about the same for 2 and 3 on PS3, and they've already announced a fifteen-dollar price point for PS3 ME1 standalone.
For PC... well, 1 is on Steam, 2 and 3 are on Origin... sales abound, so if you paying the non-sale price for it, I hope it's because you're gifting it to someone for their birthday or some other time-sensitive event. Or because you like Mass Effect so much you want to give the people that made it more money than you need to. Nothing wrong with that. Just do so knowing that if you're willing to wait, you can easily get it for less.

Unless you're really broke.
Broke people generally not buying video games. Or I missed something?
Even a broke person can afford $30 a few times a year (if you're broke you won't buy at full price).
The point is while DLC is expensive relative to full games, it is still a relatively cheap form of entertainment.
Compared to people buying new movies for 20-25 bucks($10/hour of entertainment), DLC is still only costing you ~$3 of entertainment per hour of play.. Pretty nice. What it really points out is what game companies already ruefully know, that full games are a steal, especially of course RPGs.

I just traded in my old games (ME2 and ME3) for PS3 and put the money towards preordering the Trilogy Edition at EB Games. I absolutely don't want to get the digital stand alone copy, as it would take up too much space in my PS3. Not used to having games stored on my PS3 like that. That $70 was well worth putting over to the preorder!
I was thinking of doing this as well but I'm gonna wait until I find out if the DLC will be included with ME1.

You dont need ME1 DLC through, they arent as important as the DLCs for ME2. With that being said PS3 getting ME1 dlc will be the deciding factor if PS3 version is completely the better Trilogy pack in my opinion. They are packaging the games how they were Originally released for their respective systems so ME2 for PS3 is getting all but Arrival dlc and ME3 is just online pass like every other version. The thing is ME1 was never released on PS3 until now so PS3 getting the DLC for ME1 is still unknowned and I believe will remain unknown until 360 and PC versions are released.

does anyone want to take a guess on what the % will be that the MET will be out before christmas for the PS3? i say 30 to 40 % that it may happen and 60 to 70 % that it won't.
I don't think it'll be till next year. That's just evil to keep us waiting that long.
