The game has been sent to Sony for certification earlier this week so the actual work for porting the game is complete.
Certification can take some time, couple of weeks and after that there's still pressing the discs and shipping the game, but as the producer said: "We're working hard to try to get it done in time for Christmas. :)"

Doubt it, just 1,5 year ago Microsoft was still saying that ME1 was an X360 exclusive and EA was only releasing ME2 on PS3. Most likely EA didn't got the remaining ME1 rights until this year

my friend thinks that the MET will be released on november 27th when the omega DLC comes out. would be nice, but idk what to think. i just wish that it was out now. i hate waiting.

It comes out on nov 7th. So you don't have to wait long.

YES the original Mass Effect will be available as a standalone digital title through the PlayStation Network for $14.99.  It will release the same day as the Mass Effect Trilogy on PlayStation 3.

At the moment, Bioware hasn't stated a release date for the ME Trilogy/ME1 on the PS3. Only saying that it would be out "at a later date".

The PS3 version is not being released on nov 7th. Because they had to port ME1 to PS3, the trilogy will be coming out on a seperate date from th 360 and PC versions. It went into certification a few days ago, so my best guess is about 1 1/2 months from now.

Yes, the Trilogy will be on 3 discs for PS3, one for each game. If you want to buy just ME1 without ME2 and 3 there will be a PSN download version but no seperate disc version.

They aim for a release before Christmas but until it passes certification it is unfortunately not possible to announce a definite release date. Mid December sounds possible
