I read else where mass effect 1 is being made available as a stand alone release as well for the PS3

Quote:

This bundle should be especially gratifying to PS3 owners. That console never received the first ME before. ME1 is not only included in the Trilogy bundle but also being released as a standalone game through PSN.

Decisions matter? nope, those get mostly nullified in Me3. Also, customize your shepherd? Also now way, as customized femshep faces in 1 and 2 do not import into 3 (they don't look remotely alike anyway). In my experience, a maleshep will look about 70-85% the same, but women are FAR off. They're never fixing the face import bug or other various bugs in ME3 single, so why bother?

how does this effect the comic for me2 owners on ps3?

+1 - Good question...debating as to whether to get this...already have played through ME1 on Xbox but something about the continuity of the experience....also, probably a dumb question but will I get 2 sets of trophies for ME1 & ME2, or will this integrate seamlessly...

lol it will integrate. How do you have trophies for ME1 already?

Whuppss! meant 2 &3....

I highly doubt DLC will be included with this, for they haven't used it as a selling feature and the picture they are showing only has five disks for all three games and I think it would require at least one additional disk for Mass Effect 2 DLC for the PC version that is an additional six gigabytes of game data and if I remember correctly Mass Effect 3 with the four multiplayer DLC and three story DLC it would be about the same size.

Or they just include the download codes for the DLCs, as they have done for the ME3 CE and ME2 CE afaik. ME2 on PS3 should have all but the Arrival DLCs anyway, so it would be kinda discriminating to not include at least those on PC and Xbox as well, Same with BDTS for ME1 which is included on PC, too.

I only have 1 question:

Will we finally get 360 pad support for the PC version for all 3 games?

I own all 3 games on the 360 but I will *absolutely* go for a double dip if that gets put in. Hell...I'll even repurchase all the dlc if I can get the pc version with all it's shiny sexy hd textures and I can play it the way it was meant to be played. I don't mind burning my money.

If this was a remastered version of ME1 that had the gameplay setup like ME2 and ME3 I'd be tempted to purchase this. But I'll stick with my individual copies of the trilogy. Glad to see PS3 players will finally get the first game of the series though.

That pretty cool that PS3 is getting ME1. I guess EA bought publishing rights for ME1 from Microsoft Studios.

Are they going to unify the growth/level up systems throughout the games or leave each stand alone?

I wonder if they'll tweak ME1's horrible inventory system...

So much awesome though given how much money I've spent on the trilogy already, the pricetag seems like a minor slap in the face. Still, it's cool that ME1 is finally getting some attention again.

Chris, would you mind "pitching" the benefits of this collection to the BSN---y'know, the folks who have already bought all (or most) of the content spread across the series? And possibly elaborate on the DLC situation?

Outside of Mass Effect 1 for the PS3, of course.

Are they collectors editions of the games with the bonus content collectors content?

Not ME3 related.

LOCKDOWN

But seriously, I'll finally get my ME1 for PS3.
I hope it includes all the DLC for ME1 and ME2 and (maybe) Leviathan for ME3

Congratulations EA/Bioware for killing off the sales of Wii U version ME3, before it even began.

I have been asking this question for a long time since Collector's Edition special contents became DLC. If don't activate the DLC code, it will eventually expires. If do activate the code, then the Collector's Edition special contents get consumed by one account.

In other words, it is impossible to preserve everything in Collector's edition at 100% reusable for other accounts in the future.

But ME CE isn't the worst because I have seen other games that everything from the Collector's edition are DLCs. So, all you can collect is the CE box.

I'm surprised that Microsoft relented and allowed one its exclusives to go to PS3. Pleased, but surprised. Maybe one day I'll get to play Uncharted on my Xbox. Or maybe the Splinter Cell HD collection. A man can dream.

I'm so, so happy that I'll finally get to play the original Mass Effect. I've been dying to play it since falling in love with ME2, but a 360 or halfway-decent PC won't be in my budget for quite some time--I'm barely buying games now as it is.

I know it's old hat to a lot of people here, but I'm seriously pumped for this. Thank you, thank you, thank you, BioWare. :D

Awesome news. I wonder if they updated/modified 1 & 2 in any way. Im also curious about DLC inclusion. The ME2 DLC would have to be a must right?

Are all the DLC's for ME2 and the current DLC's for ME3 included? I ask because I am planning to trade in my current games (all three) for the trilogy collection.

I probably read this wrong, but the way it read was like you make a character and then you use it for the story which spans the three games.. but it read like the three games were part of the same story, so no imports. Did I read it wrong? And if I read it right, does that mean that ME1 and 2 will get ME3's combat system?

I probably read it wrong.
